School was a lot better after he had decided to pretend to ignore what everyone was saying, there were still comments and whispers but Nino just shrugged them off focusing on burning the cute image of Ohno teaching knowing that he only two weeks left to enjoy it. The day’s ticked by quickly and if they didn’t live together Nino was positive that he wouldn’t have been able to see him, there didn’t seem to be an hour of the day that Ohno wasn’t pulled aside by a group of almost sobbing students who were piling gifts on him and saying how much they were going to miss him, showing that no matter what rumours were going around, they weren’t going to blame their beloved teacher for them. Whenever Nino saw the head mistress she either completely ignored him or gave him cold glares. After the first week of ignoring and not letting the rumours get to him, they seemed to soften a little or maybe because he really was just not letting them to him. On the last Friday of him teaching them Ohno smiled sadly standing in front of his homeroom class for what would be the last time, Nino somehow suspected how much his sappy lover was actually wanted to cry. Nino refused to admit it but he felt like crying to, regular lesions seemed to be impossible art was just the students making ‘Goodbye cards’ and art work for Ohno, Nino painted a simple picture that just showed a bench which seemed to confuse the rest of the class but Ohno beamed happily when he saw it. Nino’s real present for his husband was something that he had been secretly arranging with both Matsu and Ohno’s parents, he had felt completely guilty when he had rang the Ohno’s and had asked for a loan. Though both ‘Mum’ and ‘Dad’ were happy to help saying that he didn’t have to pay it back at all when he had told them his plan, Matsu had said something similar but Nino had insisted saying that if he didn’t it wouldn’t be his gift. He knew Ohno was interested in what he was doing but luckily Nino had managed to keep it a secret and after they had come back to their apartment Nino set his plan into motion. Tying a tie around the teachers eyes he led him back out again into a car ordered by Matsu. He handed an address to the driver not wanting to give anything away too quickly. When they pulled up at the dock he carefully helped his husband out and took him to the boat he had borrowed for the weekend “Congratulations on your new job” Nino whispered playfully in his ear, removing the blindfold, Ohno blinked staring at the boat his mouth almost hanging open “Surprise!”

“How…”

“Relax it’s only ours for the weekend… Matsu and your parents helped pay for it” Nino mumbled with a smile “But I will pay them back”

“But you get sea sick” Ohno said quickly looking at him, Nino shrugged laughing

“Well you’ll have to keep me distracted so I don’t think about it” He said though he wondered if that would actually work, his sea sickness was pretty bad, most times he had lasted only about fifteen minutes before feeling completely sick, but he was determined to do this for Ohno he blinked when he realised that Ohno was staring at him doubtfully

“Kazu you don’t have to do this… We can just ‘celebrate’ in our apartment”

“Relax, Ji-chan, it’s just for two nights and three days, I’ve got some pills that should take the edge off… I’ll be fine, besides our clothes are already on it… So come on” Nino said tugging his arm and pulling him onto the boat. His stomach lurched a bit as he stepped on the deck, and a swell made the boat raise and fall but he swallowed the feeling and smiled at Ohno, who was still looking worried “Come on cast off or whatever you have to do” he said and then gave a two fingered salute, “Captain” Ohno gave a still slightly doubtful smile but did as he was told. They sailed out of the bay and out into the open ocean just as the stars were coming out, “Captain take me to your favourite place” Nino said and Ohno did as he was told, mumbling something about ‘The captain having to take orders’ causing Nino to laugh loudly gripping the side of the boat as it lurched his stomach twisting a little. Ohno’s favourite place seemed to be a place away from any other fishing boats. He dropped anchor and they sat on the deck looking up at the stars. “You like your present captain?” Nino asked leaning against his shoulder really wishing that the boat wouldn’t move around as much as was

“I love it… But are you sure you’re okay? You’re really looking a little bit… Green” Ohno mumbled stroking his hair out of his face.

“I’m fine, but I guess it’s not very romantic, ne?” Nino joked while his stomach felt like it had turned into a dishwasher on spin. He pulled away quickly and emptied the contents of his stomach over the side into the ocean “Shit…” He grumbled groggily while Ohno rubbed his back and handed him a handkerchief.

“That’s it, we can go back… You don’t have to make yourself sick for me…” The teacher said standing up to pull up the anchor and Nino grabbed his hand stopping him

“It’s fine” Nino moaned as his stomach lurched again, throwing up again “The doctor warne-d… me this m-ight happen the first night”

“Kazu…” Ohno mumbled wiping the sweat sheen off his face, chewing his lip tightly.

“Please…”

“Fine but if you get worse we’re heading straight back” Ohno grumbled and Nino nodded quickly going below to grab his toothbrush and some of the bottled water wanting to get rid of the bad taste in his mouth. After his stomach empting Nino began to feel better, though still wasn’t fully aware of his sea legs yet and kept stumbling around until Ohno almost snapped at him to sit down before he fell overboard.

“Sorry captain” Nino said feeling next to useless as he sat down and Ohno came to him quickly putting his arms around him

“Sorry I didn’t mean to snap Kazu, but honestly if you fell into this water it’s dark I don’t think I’d be able to find you” Ohno whispered in his ear

“My merman would find me” Nino said confidently resting against him glad that he had brushed his teeth so that they could kiss though the student wasn’t good enough shape to do any more than that, that night. The next morning the pills Nino was taking seemed to have taken better effect, and his stomach had lost the washing machine feel. The ocean was as smooth as glass as Ohno sailed them to the second of his favourite places, and they did a little bit of fishing. Nino quickly decided that he would only ever do simulated fishing for the rest of his life but he was delighted that Ohno was having such a good time, Ohno spent the day trying to teach him about boats but no matter how hard he tried Nino knew he was never going to get it. He wanted to go skinny dipping but decided to hold off that pleasure until they visited the tropics. That night they anchored the boat in almost the same place as the night before and watched the stars again with Nino resting against his arms and not needing to puke, and Nino could see why this was his husbands favourite spot, he turned around looking at him with a smile and Ohno gently stroked his cheek, his fingertips barely brushing against the skin, in a heartbeat they were naked on the deck glad that the air was still warm around them, and Nino was glad that he had brought some lube up earlier in his jeans pocket. Ohno lay over him, his hard member pressing against his hole he whispered

“I’ve fantasied about making love to you here loads of times…” Before snapping his hips forwards and entering him in on fluid movement, “But I never… dreamed that… You’d make it real…” Nino held him tightly as they gentle rocking of the boat helped them set a steady gentle pace. Nino had had sex outside lots of times but never once had he seen the stars circle his lover so clearly, he looked like an angel, the blissful expression on his face as he sought the pleasure of his body only added to the otherworldly feel. Nino had never really believed in angels until that New Year, but now he was positive that that’s what Ohno was. His own guardian angel. He moaned loudly as Ohno found his spot and slammed against it hard, the teachers lips found his and they kissed as their thrusts gained pace and they released almost at the same time. After they had recovered some of their senses Ohno carried him below and covered him in the blankets, “Thank-you for doing this for me…”

“I love you, Toshi” Nino whispered sleepily lulled to sleep by the motion of the ocean and Ohno’s warmth surrounding him. On Monday Nino sat in class, still thinking about his weekend on the boat, sure there had been that ‘blip’ on Friday but overall he had actually had a lot of fun, he thought, barely paying attention to the head teacher as she announced Ohno’s replacement, okay he wouldn’t be doing it again. It wasn’t until he was told to stand and bow that he looked at the replacement, Nino’s heart stopped, his whole body trembling as he stared at the new teacher, unable to believe what he was seeing, his new teacher was the same guy that had first paid him for sex ‘seriously’ he thought ‘how much bad luck can one person have?’
