Sakurai almost smiled at the blush that crept over his boy’s cheeks, here under the moon light Masaki was looking more and more beautiful and the blush was just accenting that. He was about to ask was wrong when Marquis ran up to him yapping as he dropped his string ball at Masaki’s feet ruining the moment, if a moment had even actually existed. Masaki moved away and Sakurai watched him playing with the pup until he noticed that his boy was shivering and he quickly pulled him and Marquis back inside. He made them both a drink while Masaki went to get ready for bed carrying the hot milk and honey, impressed that it didn’t smell burnt. Masaki and Marquis were already tucked up in the bed when he entered and he gave a smile putting the cup down on the bed and unable to stop himself from dropping a kiss onto his forehead aware that Masaki pulled away just a little,
“I’m sorry” He said quickly getting up from the bed and looking at him surprised to see that Masaki was still smiling although there was a whirl of confused feelings in his big chocolate brown eyes.
“Your hair… It tickled me…” Masaki mumbled scratching his nose with his free hand and Sakurai gave another smile ruffling his hair and going to the door. Masaki still needed the night light but he was more comfortable with the door being closed
“Good night Masaki…” He said from the doorway as Masaki drank his milk and settled down into the bed. The teenager lapped the milk moustache away and settled down against Marquis his nose pressed into the dogs warm fur saying
“Good night Sho-sama…”
Sakurai drained his own drink of milk and a shot of whiskey before heading to his own bedroom. He wasn’t sure of the relationship he and Masaki were building, at times he felt like a friend or an older brother and at other times he felt almost like a parent, maybe even a mother. If that was what Masaki wanted him to be that’s what he would be. He rolled around in the bed for a while until he finally managed to fall into a light sleep still waking up ten minutes before his alarm was set to go off. He had a meeting made with Matsumoto that morning and although it wasn’t about the trial of Masaki’s former master he knew it would come around to it. Over breakfast Masaki told him in a soft voice that it was okay if Nino wanted to visit and Sakurai gave him a warm smile before heading out of the apartment.
He went to his own office first handling some important calls with people he wasn’t interested in, including his own parents lawyer who he quickly told that he would only speak to through his own lawyer Matsumoto Jun. Although Matsumoto was a defence lawyer and not a corporate one he was well known throughout japan and the lawyer stammered for a while before hanging up without saying goodbye. Sakurai allowed himself a smirk before gathering his files and heading to Matsumoto’s office.
The reception desk was clear with a handwritten ‘Back in five minutes’ card folded on the neat desk and looking around Sakurai pressed the button slipping inside the spacious neat office of his friend Matsumoto was sat on the soft with Nino in his lap and was slowly stroking his lips and the mole on his chin. Sakurai gave a polite cough guessing that he should have waited the ‘five minutes’
“If you didn’t want to see you shouldn’t have arrived 7 minutes early” Matsumoto said as Nino got off of his lap and readjusted himself. Sakurai rolled his eyes, the lawyer really was obsessed with time management but he guessed that it was because of his ‘Master’ nature.
“Nino… Masaki said it was okay for you to visit him” He said looking at the slave ignoring his ex’s angry expression. Nino quickly looked at Matsumoto and Sakurai realised that he was asking for permission which the lawyer gave quickly saying
“Every ten minutes”
“Yes, Master” Nino nodded with a happy smile grabbing his phone and darting out of the office without saying anything else. Matsumoto didn’t offer any explanation for the ‘Every ten minutes’ comment but when the lawyers phone buzzed exactly ten minutes later he understood. They concluded his works paper and then, as he had predicted that morning, the conversation turned to Masaki and the trail of his master
“We need a statement from Masaki, I’m sorry Sho. With just the testimony of the four year old… I’m almost terrified that the bastard could walk… I don’t want that… I want this sick fuck too get as long as he can…” Matsumoto spat his eyes flashing with fire as he looked down at the files in front of him. Sakurai couldn’t agree more but so far they had protected Masaki from as much as they could, his boy was just being able to smile without fear and for now Sakurai wanted to protect the innocence he had. “I’m sorry, Sho… If there was any other way I would do it but without a testimony from Masaki about the attempted murder and the years of abuse… He may just get a warning…”
“What?! But he kidnapped a four year old boy!” Sakurai shouted and the lawyer held up his hand pushing his glasses up his nose with one finger
“I understand that… But this was his first offence and there is no substantial evidence…” He mumbled and Sakurai gave a disbelieving hiss glaring at his friend
“He kidnapped a child…” He snapped in a cold voice, his body tensing against the leather of the chair he was sitting in.
“A child that doesn’t understand… Masaki would be able to explain…” Matsumoto said and Sakurai snorted, Masaki barely understood what had happened to him.
“Masaki is too terrified…” He whispered thinking of all the things that his boy whispered in the dark, the fear that was still tightly inside of him
“And he will continue to be terrified until we make sure the bastard that did that to him will never be allowed…”
“No…” He said shortly getting to his feet “I won’t let Masaki anywhere near that man again…”
“That won’t help him” Matsumoto whispered but Sakurai ignored him stalking out the office his mind in a mess. If he didn’t allow Masaki to testify that there was a chance that the sick bastard would walk free but if he did give a statement he would be forced in a courtroom with the man and have to repeat each painful word to strangers both options seemed to evil to do with somebody who was only just learning to read a children’s book. He wondered aimlessly for a while not sure where he was heading until he realised that his feet had led him right to the prison the fat cunt was staying in. He didn’t know why he was there or why his forced himself to continue up to the gatehouse but he felt he had to try and find out if he knew anything about who his boy was or maybe if he could he could get him to confess and then Masaki would never have to see him again.
He was allowed a half hour visitation and soon found himself sat in a small dank room with swamp green walls and a uniformed police guard staring at a spot on the wall.Masaki’s former master was brought in slowly by two more guards and Sakurai was positive that he had never seen so much orange on one person before. Yuuichi Fujiyama, it was such an ordinary name for a disgusting bastard. Fujiyama seemed to smile when he looked at him and he sat at the wielded down table, his ass cheeks covering both o the chairs.
“And to what do I owe this pleasure?” He asked and Sakurai had to swallow some sick and bile as he opened his mouth to ask
“Who is Masaki?” the walrus with a beard smirked his small beady staring out of his fat face and Sakurai had to stop himself from punching him like he had in front of the house.
“He’s nothing… A nobody just some kid…”
“Kids don’t just turn up… They have family” Sakurai muttered his fists clenching under the table so tightly that his nails dug into the soft skin of his palms
“Have you used him yet?” The fat man asked in a hushed whisper and Sakurai felt a twist of nausea in his stomach and his eyes flashed to the police officer who was standing in the corner of the room next to the door apparently hearing nothing. “I trained his body well and he didn’t hate it at all… there’s a spot against his left nipple…”
“Shut up…” Sakurai growled his legs tensing as he tried not to lash out. It was obvious that that the walrus knew that he had feelings for Masaki and was doing everything to he could to make him react
“You don’t know anything useful about him?” he asked keeping his voice as level as he could
“I know everything about him… I’ve known him for a very loooonggg time…” there was another smirk on his fat face “He was so cute… With his big wide eyes… And innocent expressions… He never lost that…That’s why I…”
“You what? You didn’t kill him?” Sakurai snapped getting to his feet and glaring at the fat man who looked as calm and cool as cucumber his pudgy pig like hands coming to rest in front of his overly round face. Sakurai waved away the police officer that had come over to him “I’m leaving now” He said and the officer led him to the metal door.
“I will tell you one thing…” The fat man called after him and against his better instincts Sakurai turned back to face him “He’s mine, he’ll always be mine…”
“You’re wrong… Masaki is his own person and I will make sure that he never has to live in fear of you again… He’s going to be the one that makes sure you rot in here, I swear it…”
