“Kazu... How would you feel about having a child?” Ohno asked softly, as he stroked Nino back lightly
“A kid? You want a kid?” Nino asked looking at his husband who was leaning back against the pillows, looking at him a serious expression on his normally sleepy face, they had been married for nearly a year, and now Ohno was bringing up having children, not seemingly caring that it was impossible. “If you want a kid maybe you should have married that fucking woman” He spat, before getting up and pulling on his shirt “I’m working tonight I don’t know what time I’ll be back”
“Kazu...” Ohno started but Nino stormed out of the bedroom slamming the door loudly, he stormed out of the house and got into the waiting taxi playing with the ring on his finger. He was still fuming when he arrived at the blue moon, there was no chance they could have a kid, was he an idiot or something? It was impossible, he thought slamming his bag down ignoring the startled looks of Aiba and Matsu who had been fooling around. He glared at them and then snapped
“Do I have breasts or a vagina?”
“Not unless there’s something that you’re not telling us” Matsu said
“Toshi wants us to have a kid” Nino said sitting on the dressing table, both their mouths fell open as they stared at him
“W-wait... You with a kid?”
“Stupid, right?”
“No, I think it’s sweet!” Aiba said happily looking at him only honesty on his face, “Though you’d have to cut down on sex or at least sound proof your bedroom”
“Ma-chan, you’d better go and tend the bar before mum comes in screaming blue murder” Matsu said softly as Nino’s eyes narrowed. Aiba obviously caught the look and nodded quickly
“I’ll see you later” The bartender said kissing his boyfriend quickly and running from the room
“Why that? why a kid? Why does it have to be something I can’t give him?” Nino asked when they were alone, Matsu sighed and wrapped his arms around him pressing their cheeks together.
“You can give him a kid, you just have to agree” He murmured softly
“I’m gay, I’ve never wanted kids” Nino said slowly “Besides we’re fags we can’t adopt”
“Ohno could get around that in a second, but this isn’t about that though, is it?” Matsu asked staring at him through the mirror; Nino let out a long sigh and shook his head,
“What if he loves the kid more than me? What if I lose him to a kid?” Nino whispered normally right now Matsu would hit him and call him a brat but today he just smiled and kissed his cheek
“Ohno... He’s the only person you’ve ever let in this deep ne? What you’re feeling is normal... But the love Ohno would have for a kid would be different from the one he has for you... Just like the love I have for you is different from what I feel for Masaki”
“You still love me best right?” Nino grinned and then winced as Matsu hit him on the head “I’m scared, Jun, I’m amazed that I’m even able to love Toshi, what if I can’t love a kid?”
“Idiot, you’re still trapped in the belief you’re a worthless orphan, ne?”
“Why aren’t you? But then again it never bothered you as much when people said that”
“Of course it didn’t” Matsu said almost smugly and then kissed his cheek, “They were just jealous that I had such a cute older brother...”
“As if” Nino laughed
“You always looked out for us in that place, you were the one everyone relayed on, I was always proud that you said I was your twin... You’ll make a great papa Kazu... Just don’t let any kid of yours call me either ‘princess’ or ‘Aunty’”
“You’re no fun” Nino laughed cheering up a little and then quickly pulled on his outfit as he saw the time. He pushed his whirlwind of emotions aside as he went to the stage, as the music for ‘I touch myself’ started nobody had ever asked what he thought about when he was on the stage but the answer was easy, for the past year he only ever thought about Ohno, he’d never managed to convince him to do it for real but he always pictured that it was Ohno that he was dancing with. At first Aiba had gotten a bit mad at how much passionate Nino had been getting on stage, and Nino did feel a little bit guilty but Matsu calmed down by promising that he did the same, he on the hand had managed to get Aiba on stage one night and although it was ‘cute’ the effect wasn’t suited for a strip club and ‘JunBa’ was shelved after only one night. Nino wondered what song he would use if he could get Ohno on stage he knew Ohno would want ‘Save the last dance’ but if he was really being honest the song he would want is ‘(I’ve had) the time of my life’ hell he’d do the entre frickin dance from the movie if it proved just how much he did love Ohno and how terrified he was that one day Ohno would wake up and realise he wasn’t as perfect as he thought he was. Aiba was right if they had a kid they would have to cut back on the sex and then what would he have to keep him? The dance ended and he knew he hadn’t given it 100% but for once Matsu sparred him the lecture and told him to go home and talk it out with Ohno before he drove them all crazy. Nino thanked him giving him a quick hug before almost running from the building. When he got home he knew that Ohno would still be awake and sure enough he was still in almost the same position on the bed Nino looked at him as he pulled off his clothes, after his talk with Matsu he realised that he wasn’t feeling angry he really was just feeling jealous, Ohno watched him in silence his eyes burning into the back of his head.
“Kazu... I didn’t mean to upset you, when I said I wanted I child” he said as soon as Nino got into bed,
“Even though I told you not too, you still waited for me?” Nino murmured turning to look at him with a sigh, poking his cheek “You have to be up early”
“Of course, I can’t sleep in this bed until you’re in it” Ohno whispered in his ear, Nino let out another loud sigh and wrapped his arms around him
“Why? Why do you suddenly want a kid, Toshi?” He mumbled
“I was thinking about you growing up in that orphanage, you had Matsu, but I had this image of you wanting someone to come and bring you into their family, what if there’s another child out there that’s thinking the same thing?”
“First off, I was only really little when I thought about that and it always included Jun”
“I didn’t doubt it for a second, but what if there’s another child that doesn’t have Matsu and is lonely...”
“We... Would we be able to adopt? We’re fags, Toshi...”
“I could look into it” Ohno nodded “I don’t think there should be many problems... Other than...”
“Other than me working at the moon?” Nino sighed while Ohno nodded kissing his hand lightly “I’m not quitting the moon, those guys they my family”
“They’re my family too, and I wouldn’t ask you to leave... It’s because of that place I got you... I can work around the moon, it’s not like we would take a kid there is it?” The lawyer murmured showering his face with light kisses until Nino’s frown had slipped into a smile, his eyes shining up at him
“You think you can get around me this easily?” Nino giggled pushing Ohno’s hair out of his face as the lawyer climbed on top of him
“I’m not trying to get around you” Ohno pouted
“You said you didn’t want kids...”
“I want a child with you” The lawyer told him as he kissed him gently on the mouth, and letting his hands roam over his body “But only if you want the same thing... I love you so much, Kazu” Nino relaxed into the kisses, letting Ohno take control of his body, the older man always knew just what he needed and when, he was more loving tonight, still bothered by their argument and that he had been the cause. Nino let out a loud moan as Ohno pushed into him roughly, “I love... You... Kazu, I... Will always...Love you” Ohno promised as he thrust repeatedly against his spot, Nino nodded wrapping his arms around his neck and pressing his lips to his shoulder
“Fu-ck... Ha-r-d-er-r” He managed and Ohno quickly responded to him slamming his hips in harder and faster, until Nino gave a scream and came in a quick burst and Ohno released soon after his member sliding in and out as they rode out their orgasms together, “F-uc-k yo-u’re ama-zing, Toshi” Nino gasped out between pants as the lawyer hugged him tightly sucking at his neck, marking him as he always did “But I... think Masa’s...Right... We will have... to sound proof the room” Ohno chuckled against his neck kissing him again before rolling off of him “Toshi, promise me... You’ll still love me...”
“I will always love you” He promised sleepily, Nino was satisfied with his answer and snuggled up to him breathing in his beautiful scent before drifting to sleep. The next day while Ohno was at work Nino cleaned the house, it was a Tuesday so that meant he had lunch with ‘Oh-papa’ as he had started calling Ohno’s father, he couldn’t understand why the older man loved him so much, but his support had meant a lot to them over the past year, Mrs Ohno had started to thaw out a little but they very rarely saw her, but Mr Ohno had told very body that he worked with that he had a ‘cute’ son-in-law he even had a picture of his sons on his desk. Nino smiled as he went into the ramen shop and saw him at their normal table he thought it was a little odd that the older man had accepted him so easily but considering that he had been worried that his son was going to kill himself, maybe he was just the lesser of two evils, he thought and then pushed it away when he saw the genuine smile on Mr. Ohno’s face they ordered their usual and made polite friendly small talk while they waited. The waiter arrived and Nino almost blushed as he recognised him as being one of his fuck buddies, the waiter gave him a slow smile and motioned to the bathroom with his head. Nino gave an internal laugh, ‘fuck that shit’ he thought, ‘there would have been a time I was tempted but, never again’ He looked at the ring shining on his finger, and smile as he thought about the engraving that Ohno had done after they got married ‘My love, my last dance’ seriously sometimes the sentimentality of the older man made him nearly want to puke. Last night when he had talked about an orphan that was as lonely and needed a family like he had, he had fallen in love with him all over again. That morning there had been a knot in his stomach as he told Ohno that he could look into them adopting, Ohno grinned and gave him a breath taking kiss before heading to the office.
“Kazu-kun... Your noodles are getting stale” Mr. Ohno told him gently breaking into his thoughts, Nino blinked looking down at his ramen and then up at Mr. Ohno
“Ah, sorry” He said softly
“You seem a million miles away, is there some problem, have you and Satoshi had a fight?”
“No... Well we had a little one” Nino admitted as he started eating his noodles, Mr. Ohno didn’t ask questions just waited for him to continue “He wants us to have a child” Mr. Ohno gave a cough wiping his mouth “I mean adopt...”
“I understand... A delightful idea, but I assume you didn’t agree?”
“My whole life I was told I was nothing but a worthless orphan, Toshi helped get rid of that, but if we can’t have se-... Um...” Nino broke off blushing slightly as he tried to think of a way to put this to his husbands’ father. No matter how accepting you are the thought of your son actually doing that with another guy would make you sick right? Nino thought
“You thought if you can’t make love any more, Satoshi wouldn’t want you” Mr. Ohno said calmly eating the rest of his meal “You do realise that is foolish right?”
“I can’t see what else he would like about me” Nino mumbled blushing, Mr. Ohno let out a soft laugh that reminded him so much of his husband, Mr. Ohno patted his arm gently
“There is a lot to like about you, Kazu-kun, and from what I’ve seen you have one of the largest families I’ve seen in a long time, you’re not a worthless orphan and if anybody can stop another child from feeling like that it’s you” he smiled and Nino had to marvel at this man’s complete acceptance of him and his lifestyle,
“I told Toshi to look into it, but because we’re both men and my job... There are a lot of things standing in our way”
“If you need character references you know where I am” A voice said softly and Nino spun round his mouth falling open when he recognised Johnny-san standing with Sakurai,
“J-Johnny-san” He said quickly getting to his feet and giving a polite bow, thankful when Mr. Ohno did the same, it was rare for any of the dancers to meet with Johnny-san, even on the nights when he came into the club. Johnny gave him a friendly smile,
“Ninomiya-san, remember what I said about references, just ask Sakurai-kun” He said bowing politely Sakurai gave him a grin and patted his arm lightly before giving him a look that said ‘We’ll talk later’ before following Johnny-san from the shop. Nino grabbed a glass of water and swallowed it quickly, his mouth dry
“So that was the famous Johnny-san?” Mr Ohno said thoughtfully “I was expecting something else, but he stole my words, if you need references our family name still hold a lot of sway no matter what my wife thinks... I’m sorry, Kazu-kun, I have to get back to the school and I’m sure you want to see Satoshi”
“Oh-papa, thank-you, thanks for always listening”
“Any time... And I promise I won’t tell anything to my wife until you have finalized things”
“Thank-you” Nino smiled happily as he left the shop, the waiter looked at him suggestively again but Nino held up his hand showing his ring laughing when his face fell. He headed to Ohno’s office and smiled when he saw Ikuta in the door way, the young lawyer had become a regular at the club since his boyfriend Yamapi had become one of the dancers and the during past year they had become good friends.
“Nino, good show last night” Ikuta said as he waited for him at the elevators , Nino shrugged knowing he was just being polite his dance last night had been seriously messed up and he knew Matsu deserved him getting it flawless tonight.
“How’s Pi?”
“Fine but he says he could do with a night off soon...”
“Fat chance, I’ve been asking mum for a night off for weeks, the clubs become so busy...” Nino sighed
“That’s because you guys are way too good...”
“Yeah right, snog Pi for me” Nino laughed with a wave as he got out at his floor, Honda was smiling at him from her desk, and Nino smiled back a few months ago she had walked in on Ohno banging him against his desk and strangely they had become good friends she had even come to the club a few times.
“Hey, you can go straight through... Oh congratulations on the kid...”
“What? He told you about that?” Nino asked his face losing colour
“I saw some papers about it on his desk when I took his coffee in... He seemed really happy though”
“He is, I just hope nothing goes wrong” Nino sighed running his hand through his hair, Honda gave a laugh
“If you can’t adopt you can always use me”
“Excuse me?”
“As an oven, I’ve read about it... You guys can mix your sperm together and use one of my eggs...” She said as if she was honestly letting them use her oven, Nino’s mouth fell open as he thought about it, it was an option he thought slowly and she wasn’t that bad looking for a woman,
“Thanks for the offer, but we’re going to try adoption first”
“Sure, but if you can’t I’m here” She told him still smiling as he went to Ohno’s office. He didn’t even bother to knock, knowing whatever Ohno was doing he would stop, it had been the same for the last year.
“Hey” Ohno smiled looking up at him
“Hey baby” Nino grinned back and then came to wrap his arms around him and kiss his cheek lightly
“How was dad?” The lawyer asked as Nino came to sit on his lap and looked at the paper work he was going through
“Fine, he told me if we need character references just to ask, Johnny-san said the same thing”
“You told them?” Ohno asked in amazement
“I was telling Oh-papa, when Johnny-san over heard” Nino shrugged “Toshi, why do you love me?”
“What?”
“Why do you love me?” Nino repeated, Ohno kissed his neck lightly before answering
“Because you just have to look at me to make me feel like a could grow wings and fly, I love you most when you’re in the kitchen wearing an apron and rubber gloves, because that image is so not you, and nobody else but me gets to see it, you’re my picture by Picasso, just with your smile you could brighten up even my crappiest days”
“So it’s not because I let you fuck me senseless?” Nino asked with a blush
“No, I like that you let me, but I love you just as much when all we do is cuddle... There isn’t just one thing I love about you, but if I had to say... It’s your smell...” Ohno admitted breathing in the smell of his hair, “I love that smell, I always feel like I’m coming home” Nino’s mouth fell open, that was the same thing he felt about Ohno’s smell. “I think a kid would love having you to come home to just as much as I do” Nino sighed relaxing against him and letting Ohno shower kisses over his face and neck, they didn’t do anything else but as he left Nino felt like he wanted to try and have a kid with Ohno, he decided to go to Sakura Halls that afternoon, although he suspected Ohno would be mad at him. Nino looked at Sakura Halls, a strange mix of emotions playing in his stomach this place had been his home for so long, he loved the place, every where he looked he could see chibi images of himself and Matsu running around from his position he could see the window that had been his bedroom, he had never told Ohno but he suspected he knew that Matsu was his first, his first love, his first kiss, his first time having sex, his first everything. He smiled as he guessed that’s why Ohno liked the song ‘save the last dance’ he knew he was right while Matsu was his first Ohno would always be his last, and when it came down to it that’s all that mattered really.
“What are you doing here?” A little girl asked breaking him out of his thoughts. She was about seven or eight with her hair tied up in two pigtails on top of her head and wearing the uniform of Sakura Halls,
“You live here?” Nino asked looking at Sakura Halls, the girl’s expression turned to a defensive glare her chin jutted forwards as if accepting a fight, Nino gave a quick smile and held up his hands “I used to live here too” He told her, the girl’s eyes softened a little, but she didn’t relax her posture.
“You did?”
“Yeah, my whole life...” Nino nodded sitting on the wall “Me and my best friend, do you have any friends here?”
“No,” She answered simply and Nino nodded, most friendships didn’t last in the orphanage, the kids were always competing for parents, he and Matsu had been the exception. “You’re married?” The girl asked motioning to the ring on his finger,
“Um... No... Not really, I can’t get married” Nino answered twisting it slightly,
“Why not?” She frowned
“Because the person I love is a man and since we’re both men we can’t get married” Nino shrugged
“Well that’s stupid, if you love each other it shouldn’t matter” The girl said rest her chin on her knees and staring at a bug that was racing across the floor, Nino nodded shuffling his cards, he didn’t know why he had brought them it had been a long time since he had needed to feel them in his hands but that morning he had pulled them out of his drawer and stuffed them into his pocket.
“You’re right it shouldn’t but sometimes it still does” He agreed thinking how much she looked like a rabbit with her pigtails “What’s your name rabbit?”
“Ninomiya Akiko” She answered and he wasn’t surprised that she had his last name, their last names were given by the people that found them, her having his name meant she was found by the nurse like had been, he tried to remember her but failed it had been a few years since he had left and she would have changed
“I’m Ninomiya Kazunari, nice to meet you” he said
“So you wouldn’t be able to adopt me?” Akiko asked suddenly
“Wh-at?” Nino gasped
“Adopt me...” She repeated slowly as if he was stupid, Nino gave a smile think of how much she reminded him of Matsu at that age
“We want to adopt but... I don’t think I’ll be a very good dad”
“Have you tried?”
“...No”
“So how do you know?” She said and then gave a smile “But I guess I’m too old, you’ll want a cute kid, right?” Nino stared at her his mouth falling open, he had said that line before so many times, the smile was the same too not letting anyone know how much fear he was feeling “It was nice talking to you but I’d better go,”
“Oi, rabbit...” Nino said quickly as she was about to run off “Be here tomorrow at this time, I’ll introduce you to Toshi”
“Sure, ji-chan” She said with a backwards wave. Nino smiled to himself as she watched him leave a little over a year ago he had decided to listen to his heart and he had been given Ohno, now his heart was sending him a similar message, he let out a long sigh and then went home to tell Ohno that he had just met their daughter. Ohno pouted for awhile when he told him that he had been to the orphanage without him but it didn’t last long when he saw the excited gleam in his eyes. He couldn’t wait to meet Rabbit, as Nino kept calling her. The next day they went at the same time and Ohno was mildly disappointed to see that there was nobody there until Nino gripped his arm
“Hey, rabbit” Nino grinned as he saw her head behind the wall, she looked up with a pout
“How did you see me?”
“Your head” He laughed poking her forehead lightly and then grabbed Ohno’s hand, “This is my Toshi, Toshi this is rabbit”
“Wow... You’re cute” Ohno said laughing when she gave him a pout
“Don’t be so sappy!” She said though her cheeks were flushed slightly
“Ha ha, you’re like Kazu so cute” The lawyer laughed,
“I thought she was more like you” Nino mumbled giving the same expression as the girl
“Seriously you could be related” Ohno laughed poking both their cheeks,
“If you really want this sappy idiot as your papa, we’ll do what we can okay, Rabbit?” Nino told her softly, she stared at them her eyes stinging with tears as if she was positive she was hearing things, Nino pulled one of her pigtails lightly and she managed to glare up at him “So?”
“Yeah well we’ll see” She said before storming off. Nino let out a laugh as he watched her and he felt Ohno hug him tightly and kiss his cheek
“I’ll do it” Ohno murmured in his ear and Nino smiled. It took longer than either of them thought it would and even though Ohno was fantastic at his job without the character references from both Mr. Ohno and Johnny-san it wouldn’t have been possible, Nino and Ohno spent most of their free time with their little Rabbit and they both easily grew to love the little girl and it was the second happiest day of his life when he could finally go to her and say
“So rabbit, how fast can you get your stuff ready?” Rabbit looked at him in surprise her eyebrows raised
“Wh-What do you mean?” she asked
“Well, Toshi and I have just gone through nearly a year of back ground checks and have just decorated our spare bedroom, so please don’t tell me you’ve changed your mind about wanting to live with us” he grinned the girl stared at him her mouth opening and closing like a fish and Nino was almost convinced he saw tears in her eyes,
“Y-You’re not just joking right?”
“Toshi’s filling in the last of the paperwork now... So how fast can you get ready?” He laughed patting her head, she gave a squeal and ran off in the direction of the female bedrooms, and he was still laughing when Ohno reached his side, the lawyer took his hand gently kissing his fingers lightly. Rabbit came back holding a bag tightly and Nino noticed the stuffed rabbit he’d given her poking its furry face from behind a zipper. “Ready to go?” He asked Rabbit nodded quickly, Nino ushered her out of the orphanage and into a car, the drive seemed to last forever but in reality it was only a few minutes until they were pulling up outside their small house. Rabbit stared around at her new home her mouth hanging open and a few tears running down her cheeks, still holding her bag tightly, terrified that if she moved it would shatter the dream and she would find herself back in the orphanage, with the other kids teasing her
“Yo, Rabbit are you going to spend the rest of your life in the doorway?” Nino asked with a teasing grin, from the kitchen, as he put a light yellow apron on “Toshi is almost dancing to show you your bedroom”
“I-I um...”
“This way...” Ohno said motioning her up the stairs, while Nino started cooking, Rabbit followed slowly
“Kazu’ said you liked baseball... So...” Ohno said gesturing to the walls that were painted like a baseball stadium.
“You... For me?” She whispered touching the walls slowly with her fingertips, tears were now rolling down her cheeks and even if she wanted to she wouldn’t be able to stop them, she was surprised when Ohno pulled her into a hug and stroked her hair gently
“You really are just like Kazu” He said
“If she’s a cry baby, she’s like you” Nino said coming into the room, his voice was light and teasing and Rabbit quickly wiped her eyes even though she knew he wasn’t really being mean, “So do you like it? Toshi spent all his spare time painting it with his dad...”
“It’s amazing...”
“Oh-papa, can’t wait to meet you, but we managed to put him off till tomorrow, by telling him we wanted to spend time with our new pet”
“I’m not a pet!”
“You’re our pet Rabbit” Nino laughed stroking her head glad to see she was acting more like real self “Well you have to think me that your room wasn’t pink, your aunty Jun wanted it pink with unicorns... I know” He laughed seeing the horrified expression on her face, “You’ll meet Princess Jun and Ai-baka tomorrow too... So put your stuff away and come and get some dinner” That night was the first they had as a family and none of them could be happier, except that night Nino cut his lip as he bit down to hard trying not to scream as Ohno made love to him over and over. The next morning Rabbit ran her hand slowly over the name tag on the door, her name with three rabbits, sat under a tree, none of this seemed real downstairs she could hear Nino and Ohno laughing softly together and looking through gaps in the banister she could see that Ohno had his arms wrapped around Nino and they were dancing to a song that she guessed was in English,
“Happy anniversary, Kazu” Ohno said against his ear, Rabbit saw Nino’s face flush as he grinned and kissed Ohno’s cheek
“Happy anniversary, baby” He replied his eyes dancing, Rabbit gave an audible gasp and they both turned to look at her still smiling happily, she ran down the last of the stairs and came to stand in front of her
“It’s your anniversary?” she asked
“Yep, two years ago today, I promised Toshi I’d only love him forever that’s why we rushed getting you here... We wanted you to be here today” Nino admitted
“What why?”
“Well since you’re a part of our lives now, we wanted to make it a double celebration” Ohno answered ruffling her hair, Nino rolled his eyes and grabbed a hair brush from the side
“Seriously Toshi” He mumbled, brushing her silky hair gently, before putting it into a plait instead of her normal rabbit ears,
“Erm, Kazu... Where did you learn to do that?” Ohno asked when he finished
“You’ll be amazed at what you have to know when living with princess Jun” Nino grinned rolling his eyes, “He once had his hair over his shoulders he used to get me to plait it”
“Um...Who is Princess Jun?”
“I guess you should call him uncle Jun, he’s my friend from the orphanage” Nino grinned “He’ll be here soon with his idiot boyfriend so you’d better eat your breakfast,” Rabbit did as she was told and as soon as she finished there was a knock at the door, Ohno patted her shoulder lightly while Nino went to answer it, surprised to be met by Matsu with an armful of presents “You didn’t have to get us that many Jun” he joked
“Only half of them are for you, the rest are for Akiko-chan” Matsu said as he pushed his way in followed closely by the ever faithful Aiba. “Where is she? I can’t believe you haven’t let me met her before I’m your brother!”
“I didn’t want you to scare her, my little Rabbit is very shy” Nino said seeing her hiding behind Ohno, as she heard that Rabbit’s eyes flashed and she came forwards
“I’m not shy!” She said boldly, Nino let out a laugh
“Rabbit, Akiko, this is uncle Jun and Uncle Masa”
“Aww she’s so cute!” Aiba said quickly almost grabbing her until Nino grabbed him by his shirt collar, when Rabbit tried to hide again
“I can’t believe you ended up with such an adorable daughter” Matsu said studying her as he clicked his tongue
“What can I say? I’m lucky” Nino grinned looking at Rabbit proudly, the girl blushed hotly giving him a tearful grin, Nino smiled and picked her up easily hugging her tightly. Ohno watched his husband and daughter happily before going to answer the door Nino looked up and saw Mr. Ohno coming in carrying some neatly wrapped gifts followed closely by his wife
“So you’re Akiko-chan?”
“Yes, sir” Rabbit said, from her position in Nino’s arms
“Rabbit, it’s fine to call Oh-papa grandpa” Nino told her lightly but Mr. Ohno just smiled his eyes flashing just like Ohno’s do
“Its okay, Rabbit, you can call me what you want...” He said gently “But I would prefer grandpa, when you’re ready, ah I need a new picture of all three of you for my desk!”
“That can wait” Mrs. Ohno said rolling eyes, as she came forwards, looking at Nino “Two years ago, I was very rude to you, I thought you were the worst thing that could of happened to my Satoshi, but I admit that I was wrong, I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to realise but I hope you will forgive me and allow me a chance to get to know you and... Um Rabbit?” She asked slowly, Nino nearly dropped the little girl but all he did was smile and nod. The last person to arrive was Sakurai and on his arm was another of the dancers Kamenashi Kazuya,
“I knew it!” Aiba said excitedly pointing at them until Matsu hit on the head. Nino looked at them wondering how Aiba ‘knew it’ he really hoped there was a long story involving embarrassing positions but right now with his daughter in his arms and his close family surrounding them he knew this wasn’t the time or the place.
“Wow, I can’t believe that this is really happening, of all the people I would have that would end up married and with a kid, you weren’t one of them” Sakurai said scratching his head
“Yeah, you keep saying that...Well it’s not that bad” Nino shrugged as Ohno came to put his arm around him, Rabbit was a little big to be in his arms but he honestly didn’t want to let the little girl go he smiled up at Ohno “I had the time of my life, and I owe it all to you...”

“Kazu... How would you feel about having a child?” Ohno asked softly, as he stroked Nino back lightly
“A kid? You want a kid?” Nino asked looking at his husband who was leaning back against the pillows, looking at him a serious expression on his normally sleepy face, they had been married for nearly a year, and now Ohno was bringing up having children, not seemingly caring that it was impossible. “If you want a kid maybe you should have married that fucking woman” He spat, before getting up and pulling on his shirt “I’m working tonight I don’t know what time I’ll be back”
“Kazu...” Ohno started but Nino stormed out of the bedroom slamming the door loudly, he stormed out of the house and got into the waiting taxi playing with the ring on his finger. He was still fuming when he arrived at the blue moon, there was no chance they could have a kid, was he an idiot or something? It was impossible, he thought slamming his bag down ignoring the startled looks of Aiba and Matsu who had been fooling around. He glared at them and then snapped
“Do I have breasts or a vagina?”
“Not unless there’s something that you’re not telling us” Matsu said
“Toshi wants us to have a kid” Nino said sitting on the dressing table, both their mouths fell open as they stared at him
“W-wait... You with a kid?”
“Stupid, right?”
“No, I think it’s sweet!” Aiba said happily looking at him only honesty on his face, “Though you’d have to cut down on sex or at least sound proof your bedroom”
“Ma-chan, you’d better go and tend the bar before mum comes in screaming blue murder” Matsu said softly as Nino’s eyes narrowed. Aiba obviously caught the look and nodded quickly
“I’ll see you later” The bartender said kissing his boyfriend quickly and running from the room
“Why that? why a kid? Why does it have to be something I can’t give him?” Nino asked when they were alone, Matsu sighed and wrapped his arms around him pressing their cheeks together.
“You can give him a kid, you just have to agree” He murmured softly
“I’m gay, I’ve never wanted kids” Nino said slowly “Besides we’re fags we can’t adopt”
“Ohno could get around that in a second, but this isn’t about that though, is it?” Matsu asked staring at him through the mirror; Nino let out a long sigh and shook his head,
“What if he loves the kid more than me? What if I lose him to a kid?” Nino whispered normally right now Matsu would hit him and call him a brat but today he just smiled and kissed his cheek
“Ohno... He’s the only person you’ve ever let in this deep ne? What you’re feeling is normal... But the love Ohno would have for a kid would be different from the one he has for you... Just like the love I have for you is different from what I feel for Masaki”
“You still love me best right?” Nino grinned and then winced as Matsu hit him on the head “I’m scared, Jun, I’m amazed that I’m even able to love Toshi, what if I can’t love a kid?”
“Idiot, you’re still trapped in the belief you’re a worthless orphan, ne?”
“Why aren’t you? But then again it never bothered you as much when people said that”
“Of course it didn’t” Matsu said almost smugly and then kissed his cheek, “They were just jealous that I had such a cute older brother...”
“As if” Nino laughed
“You always looked out for us in that place, you were the one everyone relayed on, I was always proud that you said I was your twin... You’ll make a great papa Kazu... Just don’t let any kid of yours call me either ‘princess’ or ‘Aunty’”
“You’re no fun” Nino laughed cheering up a little and then quickly pulled on his outfit as he saw the time. He pushed his whirlwind of emotions aside as he went to the stage, as the music for ‘I touch myself’ started nobody had ever asked what he thought about when he was on the stage but the answer was easy, for the past year he only ever thought about Ohno, he’d never managed to convince him to do it for real but he always pictured that it was Ohno that he was dancing with. At first Aiba had gotten a bit mad at how much passionate Nino had been getting on stage, and Nino did feel a little bit guilty but Matsu calmed down by promising that he did the same, he on the hand had managed to get Aiba on stage one night and although it was ‘cute’ the effect wasn’t suited for a strip club and ‘JunBa’ was shelved after only one night. Nino wondered what song he would use if he could get Ohno on stage he knew Ohno would want ‘Save the last dance’ but if he was really being honest the song he would want is ‘(I’ve had) the time of my life’ hell he’d do the entre frickin dance from the movie if it proved just how much he did love Ohno and how terrified he was that one day Ohno would wake up and realise he wasn’t as perfect as he thought he was. Aiba was right if they had a kid they would have to cut back on the sex and then what would he have to keep him? The dance ended and he knew he hadn’t given it 100% but for once Matsu sparred him the lecture and told him to go home and talk it out with Ohno before he drove them all crazy. Nino thanked him giving him a quick hug before almost running from the building. When he got home he knew that Ohno would still be awake and sure enough he was still in almost the same position on the bed Nino looked at him as he pulled off his clothes, after his talk with Matsu he realised that he wasn’t feeling angry he really was just feeling jealous, Ohno watched him in silence his eyes burning into the back of his head.
“Kazu... I didn’t mean to upset you, when I said I wanted I child” he said as soon as Nino got into bed,
“Even though I told you not too, you still waited for me?” Nino murmured turning to look at him with a sigh, poking his cheek “You have to be up early”
“Of course, I can’t sleep in this bed until you’re in it” Ohno whispered in his ear, Nino let out another loud sigh and wrapped his arms around him
“Why? Why do you suddenly want a kid, Toshi?” He mumbled
“I was thinking about you growing up in that orphanage, you had Matsu, but I had this image of you wanting someone to come and bring you into their family, what if there’s another child out there that’s thinking the same thing?”
“First off, I was only really little when I thought about that and it always included Jun”
“I didn’t doubt it for a second, but what if there’s another child that doesn’t have Matsu and is lonely...”
“We... Would we be able to adopt? We’re fags, Toshi...”
“I could look into it” Ohno nodded “I don’t think there should be many problems... Other than...”
“Other than me working at the moon?” Nino sighed while Ohno nodded kissing his hand lightly “I’m not quitting the moon, those guys they my family”
“They’re my family too, and I wouldn’t ask you to leave... It’s because of that place I got you... I can work around the moon, it’s not like we would take a kid there is it?” The lawyer murmured showering his face with light kisses until Nino’s frown had slipped into a smile, his eyes shining up at him
“You think you can get around me this easily?” Nino giggled pushing Ohno’s hair out of his face as the lawyer climbed on top of him
“I’m not trying to get around you” Ohno pouted
“You said you didn’t want kids...”
“I want a child with you” The lawyer told him as he kissed him gently on the mouth, and letting his hands roam over his body “But only if you want the same thing... I love you so much, Kazu” Nino relaxed into the kisses, letting Ohno take control of his body, the older man always knew just what he needed and when, he was more loving tonight, still bothered by their argument and that he had been the cause. Nino let out a loud moan as Ohno pushed into him roughly, “I love... You... Kazu, I... Will always...Love you” Ohno promised as he thrust repeatedly against his spot, Nino nodded wrapping his arms around his neck and pressing his lips to his shoulder
“Fu-ck... Ha-r-d-er-r” He managed and Ohno quickly responded to him slamming his hips in harder and faster, until Nino gave a scream and came in a quick burst and Ohno released soon after his member sliding in and out as they rode out their orgasms together, “F-uc-k yo-u’re ama-zing, Toshi” Nino gasped out between pants as the lawyer hugged him tightly sucking at his neck, marking him as he always did “But I... think Masa’s...Right... We will have... to sound proof the room” Ohno chuckled against his neck kissing him again before rolling off of him “Toshi, promise me... You’ll still love me...”
“I will always love you” He promised sleepily, Nino was satisfied with his answer and snuggled up to him breathing in his beautiful scent before drifting to sleep. The next day while Ohno was at work Nino cleaned the house, it was a Tuesday so that meant he had lunch with ‘Oh-papa’ as he had started calling Ohno’s father, he couldn’t understand why the older man loved him so much, but his support had meant a lot to them over the past year, Mrs Ohno had started to thaw out a little but they very rarely saw her, but Mr Ohno had told very body that he worked with that he had a ‘cute’ son-in-law he even had a picture of his sons on his desk. Nino smiled as he went into the ramen shop and saw him at their normal table he thought it was a little odd that the older man had accepted him so easily but considering that he had been worried that his son was going to kill himself, maybe he was just the lesser of two evils, he thought and then pushed it away when he saw the genuine smile on Mr. Ohno’s face they ordered their usual and made polite friendly small talk while they waited. The waiter arrived and Nino almost blushed as he recognised him as being one of his fuck buddies, the waiter gave him a slow smile and motioned to the bathroom with his head. Nino gave an internal laugh, ‘fuck that shit’ he thought, ‘there would have been a time I was tempted but, never again’ He looked at the ring shining on his finger, and smile as he thought about the engraving that Ohno had done after they got married ‘My love, my last dance’ seriously sometimes the sentimentality of the older man made him nearly want to puke. Last night when he had talked about an orphan that was as lonely and needed a family like he had, he had fallen in love with him all over again. That morning there had been a knot in his stomach as he told Ohno that he could look into them adopting, Ohno grinned and gave him a breath taking kiss before heading to the office.
“Kazu-kun... Your noodles are getting stale” Mr. Ohno told him gently breaking into his thoughts, Nino blinked looking down at his ramen and then up at Mr. Ohno
“Ah, sorry” He said softly
“You seem a million miles away, is there some problem, have you and Satoshi had a fight?”
“No... Well we had a little one” Nino admitted as he started eating his noodles, Mr. Ohno didn’t ask questions just waited for him to continue “He wants us to have a child” Mr. Ohno gave a cough wiping his mouth “I mean adopt...”
“I understand... A delightful idea, but I assume you didn’t agree?”
“My whole life I was told I was nothing but a worthless orphan, Toshi helped get rid of that, but if we can’t have se-... Um...” Nino broke off blushing slightly as he tried to think of a way to put this to his husbands’ father. No matter how accepting you are the thought of your son actually doing that with another guy would make you sick right? Nino thought
“You thought if you can’t make love any more, Satoshi wouldn’t want you” Mr. Ohno said calmly eating the rest of his meal “You do realise that is foolish right?”
“I can’t see what else he would like about me” Nino mumbled blushing, Mr. Ohno let out a soft laugh that reminded him so much of his husband, Mr. Ohno patted his arm gently
“There is a lot to like about you, Kazu-kun, and from what I’ve seen you have one of the largest families I’ve seen in a long time, you’re not a worthless orphan and if anybody can stop another child from feeling like that it’s you” he smiled and Nino had to marvel at this man’s complete acceptance of him and his lifestyle,
“I told Toshi to look into it, but because we’re both men and my job... There are a lot of things standing in our way”
“If you need character references you know where I am” A voice said softly and Nino spun round his mouth falling open when he recognised Johnny-san standing with Sakurai,
“J-Johnny-san” He said quickly getting to his feet and giving a polite bow, thankful when Mr. Ohno did the same, it was rare for any of the dancers to meet with Johnny-san, even on the nights when he came into the club. Johnny gave him a friendly smile,
“Ninomiya-san, remember what I said about references, just ask Sakurai-kun” He said bowing politely Sakurai gave him a grin and patted his arm lightly before giving him a look that said ‘We’ll talk later’ before following Johnny-san from the shop. Nino grabbed a glass of water and swallowed it quickly, his mouth dry
“So that was the famous Johnny-san?” Mr Ohno said thoughtfully “I was expecting something else, but he stole my words, if you need references our family name still hold a lot of sway no matter what my wife thinks... I’m sorry, Kazu-kun, I have to get back to the school and I’m sure you want to see Satoshi”
“Oh-papa, thank-you, thanks for always listening”
“Any time... And I promise I won’t tell anything to my wife until you have finalized things”
“Thank-you” Nino smiled happily as he left the shop, the waiter looked at him suggestively again but Nino held up his hand showing his ring laughing when his face fell. He headed to Ohno’s office and smiled when he saw Ikuta in the door way, the young lawyer had become a regular at the club since his boyfriend Yamapi had become one of the dancers and the during past year they had become good friends.
“Nino, good show last night” Ikuta said as he waited for him at the elevators , Nino shrugged knowing he was just being polite his dance last night had been seriously messed up and he knew Matsu deserved him getting it flawless tonight.
“How’s Pi?”
“Fine but he says he could do with a night off soon...”
“Fat chance, I’ve been asking mum for a night off for weeks, the clubs become so busy...” Nino sighed
“That’s because you guys are way too good...”
“Yeah right, snog Pi for me” Nino laughed with a wave as he got out at his floor, Honda was smiling at him from her desk, and Nino smiled back a few months ago she had walked in on Ohno banging him against his desk and strangely they had become good friends she had even come to the club a few times.
“Hey, you can go straight through... Oh congratulations on the kid...”
“What? He told you about that?” Nino asked his face losing colour
“I saw some papers about it on his desk when I took his coffee in... He seemed really happy though”
“He is, I just hope nothing goes wrong” Nino sighed running his hand through his hair, Honda gave a laugh
“If you can’t adopt you can always use me”
“Excuse me?”
“As an oven, I’ve read about it... You guys can mix your sperm together and use one of my eggs...” She said as if she was honestly letting them use her oven, Nino’s mouth fell open as he thought about it, it was an option he thought slowly and she wasn’t that bad looking for a woman,
“Thanks for the offer, but we’re going to try adoption first”
“Sure, but if you can’t I’m here” She told him still smiling as he went to Ohno’s office. He didn’t even bother to knock, knowing whatever Ohno was doing he would stop, it had been the same for the last year.
“Hey” Ohno smiled looking up at him
“Hey baby” Nino grinned back and then came to wrap his arms around him and kiss his cheek lightly
“How was dad?” The lawyer asked as Nino came to sit on his lap and looked at the paper work he was going through
“Fine, he told me if we need character references just to ask, Johnny-san said the same thing”
“You told them?” Ohno asked in amazement
“I was telling Oh-papa, when Johnny-san over heard” Nino shrugged “Toshi, why do you love me?”
“What?”
“Why do you love me?” Nino repeated, Ohno kissed his neck lightly before answering
“Because you just have to look at me to make me feel like a could grow wings and fly, I love you most when you’re in the kitchen wearing an apron and rubber gloves, because that image is so not you, and nobody else but me gets to see it, you’re my picture by Picasso, just with your smile you could brighten up even my crappiest days”
“So it’s not because I let you fuck me senseless?” Nino asked with a blush
“No, I like that you let me, but I love you just as much when all we do is cuddle... There isn’t just one thing I love about you, but if I had to say... It’s your smell...” Ohno admitted breathing in the smell of his hair, “I love that smell, I always feel like I’m coming home” Nino’s mouth fell open, that was the same thing he felt about Ohno’s smell. “I think a kid would love having you to come home to just as much as I do” Nino sighed relaxing against him and letting Ohno shower kisses over his face and neck, they didn’t do anything else but as he left Nino felt like he wanted to try and have a kid with Ohno, he decided to go to Sakura Halls that afternoon, although he suspected Ohno would be mad at him. Nino looked at Sakura Halls, a strange mix of emotions playing in his stomach this place had been his home for so long, he loved the place, every where he looked he could see chibi images of himself and Matsu running around from his position he could see the window that had been his bedroom, he had never told Ohno but he suspected he knew that Matsu was his first, his first love, his first kiss, his first time having sex, his first everything. He smiled as he guessed that’s why Ohno liked the song ‘save the last dance’ he knew he was right while Matsu was his first Ohno would always be his last, and when it came down to it that’s all that mattered really.
“What are you doing here?” A little girl asked breaking him out of his thoughts. She was about seven or eight with her hair tied up in two pigtails on top of her head and wearing the uniform of Sakura Halls,
“You live here?” Nino asked looking at Sakura Halls, the girl’s expression turned to a defensive glare her chin jutted forwards as if accepting a fight, Nino gave a quick smile and held up his hands “I used to live here too” He told her, the girl’s eyes softened a little, but she didn’t relax her posture.
“You did?”
“Yeah, my whole life...” Nino nodded sitting on the wall “Me and my best friend, do you have any friends here?”
“No,” She answered simply and Nino nodded, most friendships didn’t last in the orphanage, the kids were always competing for parents, he and Matsu had been the exception. “You’re married?” The girl asked motioning to the ring on his finger,
“Um... No... Not really, I can’t get married” Nino answered twisting it slightly,
“Why not?” She frowned
“Because the person I love is a man and since we’re both men we can’t get married” Nino shrugged
“Well that’s stupid, if you love each other it shouldn’t matter” The girl said rest her chin on her knees and staring at a bug that was racing across the floor, Nino nodded shuffling his cards, he didn’t know why he had brought them it had been a long time since he had needed to feel them in his hands but that morning he had pulled them out of his drawer and stuffed them into his pocket.
“You’re right it shouldn’t but sometimes it still does” He agreed thinking how much she looked like a rabbit with her pigtails “What’s your name rabbit?”
“Ninomiya Akiko” She answered and he wasn’t surprised that she had his last name, their last names were given by the people that found them, her having his name meant she was found by the nurse like had been, he tried to remember her but failed it had been a few years since he had left and she would have changed
“I’m Ninomiya Kazunari, nice to meet you” he said
“So you wouldn’t be able to adopt me?” Akiko asked suddenly
“Wh-at?” Nino gasped
“Adopt me...” She repeated slowly as if he was stupid, Nino gave a smile think of how much she reminded him of Matsu at that age
“We want to adopt but... I don’t think I’ll be a very good dad”
“Have you tried?”
“...No”
“So how do you know?” She said and then gave a smile “But I guess I’m too old, you’ll want a cute kid, right?” Nino stared at her his mouth falling open, he had said that line before so many times, the smile was the same too not letting anyone know how much fear he was feeling “It was nice talking to you but I’d better go,”
“Oi, rabbit...” Nino said quickly as she was about to run off “Be here tomorrow at this time, I’ll introduce you to Toshi”
“Sure, ji-chan” She said with a backwards wave. Nino smiled to himself as she watched him leave a little over a year ago he had decided to listen to his heart and he had been given Ohno, now his heart was sending him a similar message, he let out a long sigh and then went home to tell Ohno that he had just met their daughter. Ohno pouted for awhile when he told him that he had been to the orphanage without him but it didn’t last long when he saw the excited gleam in his eyes. He couldn’t wait to meet Rabbit, as Nino kept calling her. The next day they went at the same time and Ohno was mildly disappointed to see that there was nobody there until Nino gripped his arm
“Hey, rabbit” Nino grinned as he saw her head behind the wall, she looked up with a pout
“How did you see me?”
“Your head” He laughed poking her forehead lightly and then grabbed Ohno’s hand, “This is my Toshi, Toshi this is rabbit”
“Wow... You’re cute” Ohno said laughing when she gave him a pout
“Don’t be so sappy!” She said though her cheeks were flushed slightly
“Ha ha, you’re like Kazu so cute” The lawyer laughed,
“I thought she was more like you” Nino mumbled giving the same expression as the girl
“Seriously you could be related” Ohno laughed poking both their cheeks,
“If you really want this sappy idiot as your papa, we’ll do what we can okay, Rabbit?” Nino told her softly, she stared at them her eyes stinging with tears as if she was positive she was hearing things, Nino pulled one of her pigtails lightly and she managed to glare up at him “So?”
“Yeah well we’ll see” She said before storming off. Nino let out a laugh as he watched her and he felt Ohno hug him tightly and kiss his cheek
“I’ll do it” Ohno murmured in his ear and Nino smiled. It took longer than either of them thought it would and even though Ohno was fantastic at his job without the character references from both Mr. Ohno and Johnny-san it wouldn’t have been possible, Nino and Ohno spent most of their free time with their little Rabbit and they both easily grew to love the little girl and it was the second happiest day of his life when he could finally go to her and say
“So rabbit, how fast can you get your stuff ready?” Rabbit looked at him in surprise her eyebrows raised
“Wh-What do you mean?” she asked
“Well, Toshi and I have just gone through nearly a year of back ground checks and have just decorated our spare bedroom, so please don’t tell me you’ve changed your mind about wanting to live with us” he grinned the girl stared at him her mouth opening and closing like a fish and Nino was almost convinced he saw tears in her eyes,
“Y-You’re not just joking right?”
“Toshi’s filling in the last of the paperwork now... So how fast can you get ready?” He laughed patting her head, she gave a squeal and ran off in the direction of the female bedrooms, and he was still laughing when Ohno reached his side, the lawyer took his hand gently kissing his fingers lightly. Rabbit came back holding a bag tightly and Nino noticed the stuffed rabbit he’d given her poking its furry face from behind a zipper. “Ready to go?” He asked Rabbit nodded quickly, Nino ushered her out of the orphanage and into a car, the drive seemed to last forever but in reality it was only a few minutes until they were pulling up outside their small house. Rabbit stared around at her new home her mouth hanging open and a few tears running down her cheeks, still holding her bag tightly, terrified that if she moved it would shatter the dream and she would find herself back in the orphanage, with the other kids teasing her
“Yo, Rabbit are you going to spend the rest of your life in the doorway?” Nino asked with a teasing grin, from the kitchen, as he put a light yellow apron on “Toshi is almost dancing to show you your bedroom”
“I-I um...”
“This way...” Ohno said motioning her up the stairs, while Nino started cooking, Rabbit followed slowly
“Kazu’ said you liked baseball... So...” Ohno said gesturing to the walls that were painted like a baseball stadium.
“You... For me?” She whispered touching the walls slowly with her fingertips, tears were now rolling down her cheeks and even if she wanted to she wouldn’t be able to stop them, she was surprised when Ohno pulled her into a hug and stroked her hair gently
“You really are just like Kazu” He said
“If she’s a cry baby, she’s like you” Nino said coming into the room, his voice was light and teasing and Rabbit quickly wiped her eyes even though she knew he wasn’t really being mean, “So do you like it? Toshi spent all his spare time painting it with his dad...”
“It’s amazing...”
“Oh-papa, can’t wait to meet you, but we managed to put him off till tomorrow, by telling him we wanted to spend time with our new pet”
“I’m not a pet!”
“You’re our pet Rabbit” Nino laughed stroking her head glad to see she was acting more like real self “Well you have to think me that your room wasn’t pink, your aunty Jun wanted it pink with unicorns... I know” He laughed seeing the horrified expression on her face, “You’ll meet Princess Jun and Ai-baka tomorrow too... So put your stuff away and come and get some dinner” That night was the first they had as a family and none of them could be happier, except that night Nino cut his lip as he bit down to hard trying not to scream as Ohno made love to him over and over. The next morning Rabbit ran her hand slowly over the name tag on the door, her name with three rabbits, sat under a tree, none of this seemed real downstairs she could hear Nino and Ohno laughing softly together and looking through gaps in the banister she could see that Ohno had his arms wrapped around Nino and they were dancing to a song that she guessed was in English,
“Happy anniversary, Kazu” Ohno said against his ear, Rabbit saw Nino’s face flush as he grinned and kissed Ohno’s cheek
“Happy anniversary, baby” He replied his eyes dancing, Rabbit gave an audible gasp and they both turned to look at her still smiling happily, she ran down the last of the stairs and came to stand in front of her
“It’s your anniversary?” she asked
“Yep, two years ago today, I promised Toshi I’d only love him forever that’s why we rushed getting you here... We wanted you to be here today” Nino admitted
“What why?”
“Well since you’re a part of our lives now, we wanted to make it a double celebration” Ohno answered ruffling her hair, Nino rolled his eyes and grabbed a hair brush from the side
“Seriously Toshi” He mumbled, brushing her silky hair gently, before putting it into a plait instead of her normal rabbit ears,
“Erm, Kazu... Where did you learn to do that?” Ohno asked when he finished
“You’ll be amazed at what you have to know when living with princess Jun” Nino grinned rolling his eyes, “He once had his hair over his shoulders he used to get me to plait it”
“Um...Who is Princess Jun?”
“I guess you should call him uncle Jun, he’s my friend from the orphanage” Nino grinned “He’ll be here soon with his idiot boyfriend so you’d better eat your breakfast,” Rabbit did as she was told and as soon as she finished there was a knock at the door, Ohno patted her shoulder lightly while Nino went to answer it, surprised to be met by Matsu with an armful of presents “You didn’t have to get us that many Jun” he joked
“Only half of them are for you, the rest are for Akiko-chan” Matsu said as he pushed his way in followed closely by the ever faithful Aiba. “Where is she? I can’t believe you haven’t let me met her before I’m your brother!”
“I didn’t want you to scare her, my little Rabbit is very shy” Nino said seeing her hiding behind Ohno, as she heard that Rabbit’s eyes flashed and she came forwards
“I’m not shy!” She said boldly, Nino let out a laugh
“Rabbit, Akiko, this is uncle Jun and Uncle Masa”
“Aww she’s so cute!” Aiba said quickly almost grabbing her until Nino grabbed him by his shirt collar, when Rabbit tried to hide again
“I can’t believe you ended up with such an adorable daughter” Matsu said studying her as he clicked his tongue
“What can I say? I’m lucky” Nino grinned looking at Rabbit proudly, the girl blushed hotly giving him a tearful grin, Nino smiled and picked her up easily hugging her tightly. Ohno watched his husband and daughter happily before going to answer the door Nino looked up and saw Mr. Ohno coming in carrying some neatly wrapped gifts followed closely by his wife
“So you’re Akiko-chan?”
“Yes, sir” Rabbit said, from her position in Nino’s arms
“Rabbit, it’s fine to call Oh-papa grandpa” Nino told her lightly but Mr. Ohno just smiled his eyes flashing just like Ohno’s do
“Its okay, Rabbit, you can call me what you want...” He said gently “But I would prefer grandpa, when you’re ready, ah I need a new picture of all three of you for my desk!”
“That can wait” Mrs. Ohno said rolling eyes, as she came forwards, looking at Nino “Two years ago, I was very rude to you, I thought you were the worst thing that could of happened to my Satoshi, but I admit that I was wrong, I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to realise but I hope you will forgive me and allow me a chance to get to know you and... Um Rabbit?” She asked slowly, Nino nearly dropped the little girl but all he did was smile and nod. The last person to arrive was Sakurai and on his arm was another of the dancers Kamenashi Kazuya,
“I knew it!” Aiba said excitedly pointing at them until Matsu hit on the head. Nino looked at them wondering how Aiba ‘knew it’ he really hoped there was a long story involving embarrassing positions but right now with his daughter in his arms and his close family surrounding them he knew this wasn’t the time or the place.
“Wow, I can’t believe that this is really happening, of all the people I would have that would end up married and with a kid, you weren’t one of them” Sakurai said scratching his head
“Yeah, you keep saying that...Well it’s not that bad” Nino shrugged as Ohno came to put his arm around him, Rabbit was a little big to be in his arms but he honestly didn’t want to let the little girl go he smiled up at Ohno “I had the time of my life, and I owe it all to you...”
