Jun gasped as he heard the words out of Aiba’s mouth, he waited for answer but none was forthcoming Sakurai just said ‘I’m sorry’ like he had done 11 years ago. Why the hell had he told Aiba now? Everybody was finally happy so why? To Jun it almost felt like Sakurai purposely didn’t want him to be happy with Nino. What was it, he was allowed to be with Aiba but he was meant to sit alone all day and night moping around after him… Okay he had been doing that for 11 years but now, now he was with Nino. He looked down at his boyfriend and saw that he was just as surprised and confused as he was, but Jun could also see that he was a little paler than normal and Jun was stunned to see actual fear in the smaller guys eyes.

“Kazu?” He whispered but Nino held his finger up to his lip and motioned him to come away, Jun did as he was told and Nino led him to the ‘quiet room’. The quiet room was actually the smoking room on their floor and it never normally lived up to its name but today it did and as soon as they entered Nino leant against the door letting out a sigh.

“We shouldn’t listen in on that, ne?” He mumbled rubbing the hand over the back of his neck “And we couldn’t go in right? I mean we don’t know how much Sho has told him… We might hurt Masaki more if we accidently said something that Sho hasn’t said…”

It sounded reasonable, but Jun caught a trace of something in his lover’s voice and he was terrified to realise that Nino was scared, and there would only be one reason that Nino would be scared of the argument between Sakurai and Aiba

“Kazu I don’t want to get back with Sho… I hope it doesn’t happen but if he and Masaki break up there isn’t a cat in hell’s chance that I would go back to him… I love you…” He told his bratty lover tilting his face up by his chin, “I love you remember… The only feeling I have for Sho right now is anger, anger that he’s hurt Masaki and anger that he didn’t tell me so I would know what to say to my friend… Okay Kazu?”

“Sorry, I must really seem…completely pathetic and needy to you right now, ne?” Nino sighed sitting in one of the stinking chairs and pinching his nose

“Yep you do seem needy… But there’s nothing pathetic about it… You’ve loved me for 15 years, and have looked out for me this whole time, please continue to be as needy as possible… Because I’ve got a lot of making up to do to you” Jun grinned as Nino gave a small half smile, grabbing his hand and pressing it to his cheek,

“Thanks my Junny-Jun but if you really want to make anything up to me… just agree to become my slave for ever…” Nino said in a jokey serious way and Jun laughed nodding

“I think I can manage that…Ninomiya-sama… Can I kiss you?” Jun asked getting to his knees in front of him and was given his permission by a small nod of the head and quickly he pressed their mouths together, his tongue gently asking for Nino to open his mouth and when the smaller guy did, his tongue plunged straight in and they shared the minty taste of the toothpaste they had both used. “Ninomiya-sama… Is there anything else you would like me to do?” Jun asked against his lips as the kiss broke, he wrapped his arms around the smaller guy’s waist loving the smile he gave him.

“Just promise me that you love me?”

“I love you, I love you, and I will always love you!” He repeated and Nino gave a laugh putting his arms around his neck and Jun knew he was about to bring him in to another kiss when the door was slammed open and they pulled apart quickly. Jun turned to face the intruder and found that it was Aiba.

“Uh… Sorr-y” He said tearfully, holding up a cigarette “I guess I’ll come back…”

“Masaki, It’s fine…” Nino said carefully, getting to his feet and guiding him to a chair, Jun guessed that they were playing dumb about what they had overheard and he decided that until Sakurai or Aiba said something that was fine

“We weren’t doing anything much…” He said softly and Aiba gave a watery smile and lit his cigarette “So what’s wrong you have another fight with Sho?”

“Uh? Um… Sort of… We broke up” Aiba whispered with a shaky stunned laugh the cigarette in his hands shaking a little, the grey ash landing onto his shirt.

“What? Why?” Both Jun and Nino cried looking into their friends face, no-way they couldn’t really break up over what happened years ago. If that happened Jun really would hit the pair of them. He really did believe what Sakurai had said about him and Aiba being meant to be together.

“Why did you break up with him?” He asked gently his hand automatically finding Nino’s and he linked their fingers tightly.

“Well um… For months Sho-chan has been acting weird, I know that it’s because he’s been super busy! But… He hasn’t been acting like Sho… Yesterday was just one of the many times I got angry with him… You know the report about him and the gay bar…  Well we had an argument and he vanished for a while and that’s when they started… I don’t know what to do any more and then when he…” Aiba stopped looking into Jun’s face, his tears starting again “I’m sorry Jun! I didn’t know, if I had known… Why did you tell me? Why didn’t you ever get mad at me?”

“It wasn’t your fault, Masaki…” Jun answered patting his shoulder, he honestly hadn’t known that Sakurai and Aiba had been having problems for so long, they always seemed the same as ever when they were all together, he guessed that his friends were better actors than he was giving them credit for “You didn’t know… You just fell in love with him, and you still love him right?”

“Of course I do… But… I just feel that our whole relationship was formed on a lie… If he could cheat on you with me… Why wouldn’t he cheat on me with someone else? I asked him why he kept going to those clubs but he couldn’t give me an answer so I told him that I need a break…”

“But what are you going to do? You live together…” Nino said and Aiba nodded sucking on his cigarette and then releasing a small puff of air

“I... Um…”

“You can stay in my spare room” Jun said with a smile using his free hand to pat his shoulder, “While you work things out…”

“Eh?! Um… You’re sure? I still don’t know why you don’t hate me!” Aiba whispered sobbing again.

“Because it would like hating a puppy” Nino muttered smoothing out Aiba’s hair and wiping the tears away with his thumb before taking the now finished cigarette out of his hands and stubbing it out into the ashtray. Jun smiled kissing his boyfriends shoulder just because he couldn’t stop himself.

“You’re both so cute!” Aiba gave a half-hearted laugh, tears shining in his eyes “But you’re still in the honeymoon phase, you wouldn’t want me to be hanging around…”

“Masaki, we have my apartment if Jun wants to fuck my brains out so just say yes, you know my Junny-Jun will make you in the end anyway” Nino told him and Jun almost blushed at the coarse language his boyfriend was using  

“I wouldn’t put it like that but he’s right” He agreed with a laugh and Aiba hugged them both whispering a thank-you against their shoulders. Jun wasn’t sure how they made it through the group project together somehow both Aiba and Sakurai managed to keep smiles on their faces, though they looked faker than normal. After they had finished Nino had some solo projects and Aiba had to film some scenes for ‘Holmes’ so Jun went with him and hung around to take him back to his apartment as he waited in the changing room he really wasn’t expecting Sakurai to come in.

“Jun… I was looking for Ma-chan” the reporter said and Jun noticed that his eyes were red rimmed.

“He’s filming and after that he’s staying with me for a while… So… Have you been cheating on him?”
