His mum was the first to pounce on them as soon as they entered the hallway, her tabby tail flying out behind her excitedly,

“You must be Kazu, we spoke on the phone, I’m Azumi Ohno… Wow it’s nice to meet you!” She gasped grabbing Kazu’s hand and shaking it furiously, a huge beaming smile on her face. Satoshi almost gave a groan, embarrassment curling in his stomach, glad that when he looked at Kazu he was still grinning.

“It’s nice to meet you too, Ohno-san”

“Please, it’s okay to call me mum, we’re family right?” She said and Satoshi only barely stopped his eyes rolling as she put her arm around Kazu’s shoulder and pulled him further into the house “My husband has wanted to meet you since this morning”

Satoshi followed slowly listening to his mum rabbit on and on. He was half terrified that Kazu was about to bolt out of the house, saying that even if they were life mates there were something’s that he didn’t have to handle. But Kazu just turned and grinned at him, his white ear twitching as he listened to Azumi talking about the kitten illnesses that he had had. She was just starting on his tenth year when they arrived in the summer room and his father stood up an excited expression on his face as his greying tail flicking out behind him.

“So this is Kazu? Wow the fates gave you a pretty one” where the first words out of his mouth and this time Satoshi did let out an audible groan, wondering if anybody else had such embarrassing parents. Kazu didn’t seem to mind though, his grin getting wider as his eyes flashed.

“I know, I still can’t believe they gave me Sato, I’ve never normally been this lucky” He said. Breaking away from Azumi and putting his arms around him gently. Satoshi blushed hotly looking down at his shoes as there were loud laughs from his parents. After they had finished laughing Azumi pulled Kazu away again sitting him in a chair, asking him about his childhood while piling food onto his plate. Satoshi looked at his dad wanting help but found him just smiling and nodding at him proudly, with a sigh he sat at the table hoping that Kazu would to be able to stay awake for long enough. He was sure how the Kazu/Nino thing worked but he thought that it had something to do when they slept. His life mate survived the meal, and Satoshi managed to find out a lot about him, he learnt that he had been home schooled by his sister and Masaki had brought him worksheets from his school. Kazu told them that it was because of an illness that he had managed to shake off, Satoshi guessed that the real reason was Nino. He found out that he could play the guitar and piano and he liked writing songs but he didn’t think he was very good at it.

“Oh I’m sure you are!” Azumi said enthusiastically waving her fork around and Kazu smiled sipping his orange, but Satoshi noticed that his white ear was twitching furiously.  

“I’m sorry… About the way that they are acting…” Satoshi mumbled softly into his life mates ear after they had finished their meal and were leaving the summer room, and Kazu gave a laugh quickly rubbing against him,

“Your parents are cool… It’s nice that they are accepting, Masaki told me that Sho’s parents were a bit weird when they met him, they thought that somehow he had twisted the bonding… Masaki’s a miracle man but there’s no way that he’s one of the fates” He said with a laugh and Satoshi smiled, though he didn’t want to tell him that his parents were so accepting because they had been terrified that he was one of ‘un-fated’. His mum wouldn’t have been able to handle her child being unmatched.

“Oi” He growled a little when he felt teeth connecting with one of his sandy ears. He looked around, confused when he saw Kazu grinning at him, his eyes shining just  little,

“I don’t mind you picking your nose, but don’t ignore me…” He said and Satoshi realised that his finger was creeping slowly to his nose; he quickly dropped his hand away, blushing hotly until Kazu licked his nose “I was saying that we should head back soon… I’m feeling sleepy and… I have work this afternoon…”

“Oh right, sorry Kazu…” he mumbled wondering how much Kazu/Nino really understood about their condition. Kazu didn’t look like he wanted to talk about it though, and after saying good bye to his parents and making promises that they would come back as soon as possible, they left getting unto the car just as Kazu started to yawn. As they were driving Kazu fell to sleep and Satoshi quickly looked up the number Sho had given him for Jun.

Jun frowned as an unknown number flashed up on his display, after a lot of wrestling with himself last night he had decided to come into work, wanting to redo the advertisement he had been working on. After Nino had told him about his favourite game Jun decided that he wanted to make his next one better so his life mate would get the same feeling again. He had been waiting for a call from Nino and now he was just getting an unknown, he wasn’t sure if he should answer it but in the end he clicked the green phone

“Hello?”

“Hello, um this is Satoshi Ohno…”

“I see… Is everything okay?”

“Everything’s fine but… I think Nino might be waking up soon, and um there isn’t time to get back to Sho’s…”

“Can you get here? Sakurai’s office building?”

“I think so…” Satoshi murmured and Jun nodded looking at his watch, it was half 12, he was positive that given the unique situation his boss wouldn’t be too bothered if Nino was here, but he was positive that Nino would find it boring hanging around.

“I’ll meet you in the foyer…” He said deciding that if it became too dull for Nino they could leave early or something. Hanging up the phone he became aware that he was being stared at by a few inquisitive eyes who all quickly became busy when he got to his feet. Sho looked up at him from where he had been talking to another designer and Jun found himself just saying “Nino” calmly. Sho raised an eye brow but nodded motioning for him to leave and Jun was careful not to actually run out of the office. His tail and ears twitching with excitement that soon he would be with his life mate.

He paced the foyer, keeping his eyes fixed on the door, he hoped that Nino would still be asleep. He didn’t want him to wake up and be scared and confused with Satoshi, he knew that he and Satoshi were going to have to have a serious conversation sooner rather than later. Soon a car pulled up outside and he darted out, his heart giddy when he saw his life mate fast asleep against the soft sleek leather of the car.

“We need to meet up and talk” He said to Satoshi, as he unfastened the seatbelt and scooped Nino into his arms. Satoshi gave a nod from his seat

“Yes I wanted to say the same”

“Then I’ll ring you when Nino…” Jun mumbled motioning to his life mate in his hand and he received another nod. Nino started to stir in his arms, his tail rubbing against his leg and Jun quickly moved away closing the car door as he did so. He knew that he was going to have to explain everything at some point but he still was ready for that yet. He carried Nino into the foyer, nodding his head at the startled looks he was receiving and as he reached the elevator he saw that Nino’s eyes had fluttered open.

“Ny-an?” Nino yawned sleepily blinking as he rubbed his eyes, and he looked startled to be in Jun’s arms, “Eh? Did Nino’s feet find Junny again, nyan?”

“Something like that, are you okay?” Jun asked about to put him down but Nino’s arms around him tightly nuzzling at his cheek with his nose, letting out soft warm purrs

“Hmm… Nino was dreaming of Junny… Maybe that’s why Nino’s feet brought him here” Nino said happily his voice still thick with sleep and Jun decided that even though it was his place of work, it was okay to hold him for a little longer.

A/N: I hope you enjoy, the Kazu/Nino thing will cause problems but at the moment I’m enjoying writing two fluffy couples xD
