“You want to come with us?” Matsu repeated staring at the admiral in amazement his mouth dropping open and his eyes widening.

“Yes” Ohno said brightly coming to the bed and looking at Nino “How are you feeling?”

“Nino is feeling better, leader…” Nino smiled shyly looking down at the blanket “Nino is sick leader and it makes Nino’s tummy dance and feel funny, but Aiba-doctor is helping Nino…”

“I see…” Ohno smiled “We’ll were going to take you to a special place so Aiba-doctor can look after Nino more okay?”

Nino head went to one side his ears waving around and his eyes darted to Matsu who pushed a stray lock of hair away from the Feman’s eyes and stroked his ear

“We just want to make sure that Nino is completely healthy” The captain told him softly and Nino nodded

“If Master say’s so…” Nino shrugged weakly getting up from the bed and allowing himself to be dressed up in the wig again.

“My car is out front so we don’t have to worry about taxis or anything” Ohno told them, “I figured the least data there is on you the better”

“Thank-you” Matsu said knowing that it was going to get more and more difficult to refuse his request of coming with them. He didn’t want to ruin his reputation if he could, also after everything Aiba was doing for him he wanted to know as much as he could about Sakurai as he could he was wondering how he could bring it up when Nino did that for him.

“Leader… You are important ne?” Nino asked

“I… Guess… You could think of it a little bit like that” Ohno nodded though Matsu could see it was with great reluctance.

“Um then… Can Leader find out about Sho-man for Aiba-doctor? Sho-man he and Aiba doctor love each other but Aiba-doctor hasn’t seen Sho-man… And Aiba-doctor is upset” the Feman said in a rush and Ohno looked at Matsu and Aiba trying to understand what was going on. Matsu looked a little white while the doctor had gone a deep bright red.

“I’ll see what I can do” Ohno said and Matsu made a mental note to fill the admiral in on the details later. They left the apartment and got into the car during the drive Nino slept and Matsu and Aiba filled the admiral in on the details of Nino’s request.

The cider university was as impressive as they thought and all Ohno had to do was flash his ID card and they were granted the labs they had been promised. Aiba almost danced around stroking the equipment until Matsu gave a loud cough and he came back to his senses

“Nino, I want you to take your clothes off and lay on the bed…” Aiba told the Feman and although Matsu did tense he knew this was just part of the procedure so he tried to stifle his jealousy.

“But master said Nino shouldn’t in front of other people…” Nino said looking panicked as he inched closer to Matsu, suddenly looking at Aiba as if he was dangerous again.

“It’s okay in front of Aiba… He’s a doctor…” The captain told him running a hand up his back trying to reassure him.

“So Nino can be naked in front of Aiba-doctor?” Nino said slowly trying to process the new information he was being told.

“That’s right” Matsu nodded ignoring the bemused expression on the admiral’s face thinking about the way he had caught them.

“And leader… Is Nino allowed to be naked in front of him?” The Feman asked looking over at the admiral

“No” Matsu said quickly, he was grateful for everything Ohno was doing but he really didn’t want too many people seeing his little Nino naked. The admiral gave a gentle laugh and then walked away

“I’ll be in the office asleep if you need me” Ohno grinned happily giving them a wave and going into the direction of the medical office in the corner.

“Right so your clothes” Aiba said as he started pressing buttons on the machines. Having Matsu’s permission Nino stripped quickly and jumped onto the bed Aiba had pointed to. “Wow… You’re really thin ne?” Aiba said spreading his hand of the flat bony stomach. For the first time Matsu noticed that Aiba had long fingers and they almost covered his entire stomach and for some reason he felt a spot of jealousy over that fact. “Okay I’m going to use this machine. This will help me look inside your body and take pictures…”

“And this will make Nino better?” Nino said excitedly.

“Hmm, I’m not sure but we’ll have a look…” The doctor mumbled looking away and Matsu held Nino’s hand as the doctor turned on the scanner and put it over the Feman’s chest. The effect was almost instant, Aiba gave a small shout and pointed at the screen “Do you see those tiny blobs of black in his blood? I’ve never seen those before” Aiba said stabbing excitedly to the screen. The captain had to almost squint his eyes to see them, but when he did he really could see the blobs that Aiba was talking about.

“Is that what makes Nino feel sick? They look funny…” Nino said his nose wrinkling as he tried to look at the screen.

“I think they are what is making you sick” Aiba nodded slowly taking out a needle and causing the Feman to let out a hiss, and Matsu tried to smack the back of the doctor’s head but the doctor moved to quickly

“It’s okay Aiba needs to do this so he can start making Nino better” Matsu told him running his hand over Nino’s arm trying to calm him down. He kissed him on the forehead and then nose before reaching his mouth. His eyes kept flickering to the screen, wondering how such tiny blobs could confirm that one day soon he might be losing his sweet little Nino.

“Hey baka-couple I haven’t finished the tests yet” Aiba said with a soft laugh and they broke apart and Matsu gave an embarrassed laugh while Nino licked his lips. Aiba finished his tests rather easily but there was a few interesting aspects to the Feman’s blood that Aiba was keen to study in more detail later saying that they held the key to finding a cure. Nino pulled his clothes back on and Ohno came out of the office looking slightly refreshed he was also putting away his phone.

“Do you have what you needed?”

“Yes” Aiba answered quickly waving a folder with all the information he had gathered.

“Good so do you want me to take you back?” Ohno asked and they nodded. They weren’t in the car long before Matsu realised that they weren’t heading back to his apartment but towards the beach zone.

“What are we doing here?” The captain asked and Ohno just parked up and told them to get out. For one split second Matsu thought that the admiral had betrayed them but then the captain heard Aiba gave an almost scream and dart off. Looking around he saw the doctor collide with Sakurai knocking him down onto the floor.

“You should take some time to enjoy yourself I’m sure you’ve been cooped up in that apartment since you got back. It’s the middle of the day so it is normally pretty empty around here…”

“Thank-you” Matsu whispered and with a smile the admiral walked off in the direction of the simulated fishing games. Matsu took Nino’s hand and walked him towards the sea overhearing some of the conversation Aiba and Sakurai were having.

“Admiral Ohno’s father is a friend of my mum’s he called us up saying he needed help with something so here I am…”

“I missed you, I missed you so much…” Aiba was sobbing onto his lovers shoulder

“I missed you too baby, I tried to get in touch but things got hard…” Sakurai was cut off by Aiba throwing himself at him again and Matsu led the Feman away.

Half an hour later Nino laughed happily as Matsu wrapped his arms around him, the beach zone was deserted as Ohno had promised so there had been no chance that anyone would be able to ruin their day. The only other two people they could see were Aiba and Sakurai and they were too busy doing their own thing (Sakurai laying on his back with Aiba sleeping on his chest).

“Are you glad you came?” Matsu against his ear and Nino nodded his tail flicking against the captain’s legs through the fabric of his trousers. Matsu couldn’t work out how he was going to thank the admiral for everything he had done.

“Nino is very glad master, Nino will thank leader later…” The Feman nodded grinning happily, resting against his chest as they looked at the simulated ocean. Matsu spread his hands over Nino’s chest and he was almost positive that he felt it slowing down. “Master… Will you do something for Nino?”

“Anything?”

“On Elzren when there is someone we want to spend our lives with we make a promise… That we will be true to other… Nino knows that he is sick master and he knows that Aiba-doctor and Master will do everything to help but… If… If Nino has to go master, Nino wants master to know that Nino is glad that he is with master… and if Nino was going to live to see more moons he would want them to be with master… Will master accept Nino’s promise?”
