Jun flinched as Nino flopped down beside him after feeding/healing the last of the humans. His skin was colder than ever and his eyes a glassy, glazed over look,

“Kazu, are you okay?” Jun asked it wasn’t normal for a vampire to give out so much blood. They needed it too much for their own survival,

“I’ll… Be fine” Nino answered in a weak voice resting his head against Jun’s shoulder. The human frowned as he watched the vampire start smiling as the little girl he had first given his blood too, come to sit beside him. “Hello I’m Nino what’s your name?”

“M-ay-o” She answered in a tiny voice “A-are… Your pe-t’s now?”

Jun felt Nino struggle to lift his head looking around at the humans that were watching them.

“No… You’re not, I don’t have any pets…” Nino said, “You are all free to go where you want…”

“How’s that possible? They’ll find us and take us again or worse…” A man shouted from the back and Nino nodded

“That is true… you won’t survive alone for long…So how about I offer you a deal?” He said and Jun saw a strange fire in his lovers eyes, a chill ran down his spine as Nino continued “My name is Ninomiya Kazunari… My father is Ninomiya Shoei he runs Tokyo district… And I want the bastard dead” Nino spat “He hurt someone very important to me and he deserves the same kind of pain….”Jun could feel him tensing against him. “Of course alone it isn’t possible, he has a lot of allies…But I have the right to challenge him… If I win I take the Tokyo district…”

“So you just replace him” There was a scoffing, but Jun noticed that the little girl Mayo had moved closer to Nino so she was almost sitting on his lap.

“Sort of, but as long as you leave me the fuck alone with my Jun, you humans can do what you want with it…I’ll make sure that Tokyo district is a safe haven for humans” Nino told them confidently grabbing Jun’s hand, Jun gripped it tightly linking their fingers. Nino’s free hand went up to stroke the girls head.  Nino really needed to feed soon Jun thought looking into his lover’s powdery white face, he was straining to stay focused on his speech but this needed to be said.

“And why should we trust you?” The same human asked and Jun was tempted to hit him, didn’t he realise how much Nino was risking? Or how much he had already risked by bringing them with him? 

“If you’re not idiots you shouldn’t…But in all honesty what choice do you have?” Nino asked with a small smirk, “Ninomiya-san decided that it was okay to mess about with my Jun I will take him down he will pay for what he’s done… Too all of you…”

“Aren’t you just as bad? You’ve got a ‘pet’ right?”

“Jun, isn’t my pet, he’s my fiancé…” Nino snapped sharply and Jun blinked wondering if this was the vampire’s idea of a proposal, if it was it really sucked. Nino gave a cough, looking at Jun carefully “Or he will be once I ask him…”

“So confident I’ll say yes?”

“You will though won’t you?”

“I guess we’ll find out when you ask won’t we?” Jun said with an easy grin hiding the excitement that was building in his chest. True they were on the eve of a war, but at least he could enjoy this feeling here and now. Nino gave an almost tired smile kissing his hand, not caring that every single other human was staring at them in horror and disbelief. Well maybe except, Ohno, Aiba and Mayo who really was sitting in Nino’s lap now and playing with Nino’s free hand.

“I promise that I’ll ask as romantically as possible so you can’t refuse me…”

“I promise I’ll act surprised when you do ask me” Jun grinned really wishing that the little girl Mayo wasn’t watching them so he could kiss his vampire.

“Right… Now that that’s settled” Nino said in his cute embarrassed voice, giving a cough he turned back to the other humans “You got a problem?”

“Um… Even if we do agree to your plan there’s only about 50 of us, and we’re only human…”

“True… You are human but you can be more, Aiba Masaki… Why were you locked up?”

“I was taken from my old master…” Aiba mumbled “Master Sakurai”

“And what is master Sakurai?

“He… Your mother… She said that he was a ‘maker’ that he could make humans into vampires!” Aiba said with a strange excitement in his voice. “You want to make us into vampires so we can fight your father?”

“Only those that agree… This is a choice I will not force anybody…”

“I’ll do it, papa” Mayo said her voice ringing clear in the room like a bell and everybody turned to stare at her The little human girl was bouncing up and down on his lap an Nino gripping at his hand.

“Papa?” Nino grinned ruffling her silky hair, “Thanks for the offer sweetie but I wasn’t planning on turning you children…”

“But I would… You got me out of the cage… I would help…” Mayo insisted getting slightly worked up.

“I’m sure you would be a big help…” Nino said soothingly and Jun became aware that his voice was getting fainter as were his eyes.

“You can talk about it… We’re going upstairs” Jun said realising that his lover needed blood now. He picked up Mayo and placed her back on the floor grabbing Nino’s hands “If you decide to stay or not is up to you…Come on, Kazu”

“Coming, baby” Nino murmured getting to his feet, he ruffled Mayo’s hair and Jun led him up the rickety stairs. Jun turned his nose up at the first room and pulled his wobbly lover into the second and pulling off his shirt.

“Come on feed” He said and Nino looked dubiously at the relic that was hanging around the human’s neck. “Shit I should take this off right…”

“No… Leave it on… Never take it off again… Until you become a vampire” Nino murmured running his hands over his skin, and Jun watched him ignoring the pain he must he might be feeling.

“You really believe that Sakurai is really a maker?” Jun murmured buzzing with excitement as Nino ran his tongue down the centre of his chest kissing his stomach a few times before answering.

“If my mum said so, then yes I believe Aiba’s Master is the maker…”

“Will it hurt, becoming a vampire?” Jun asked softly he knew it wasn’t the right time, but if this all went as Nino planned he would soon be going through something that nobody really understood. Nino sat back on his legs and stroked his face and lips

“I can imagine so but I promise that I will do anything to make it as painless as possible…”

“Kazu… Are you doing this because of me… Because of what happened…”

“I couldn’t protect you, I promised that I would but I didn’t protect you… I’m sorry, Jun...”

“Kazu…” Jun smiled slightly pulling him into a short kiss before whispering “I love you… But you’d better fucking drink now…”

Nino pecked his lips pulling of his own shirt he spread it over the dusty floor before pushing him down and sinking his teeth into the centre of his chest. Jun gave a gasp and a groan his back arching as Nino started to suck. The sensation was as incredible as always as the warm arousing sensation washed over him stirring him up as Nino’s pheromones spread out around him. He had been worried that his experience with Mr Ninomiya would have made him scared but this was Nino and he would never be scared of Nino.

He heard the sound of a zipper going and then felt his trousers being tugged down, a cold small hand stroked at his member turning it from half soft to rock hard. Nino’s mouth moved away for a second as he removed his own jeans before coming to position himself over the penis the mouth returning to his chest as the hips pushed down. Jun gripped at the vampires hips his fingernails clawing at the hard smooth skin as he tried to match the pace Nino had set. He scraped his nail over the slit and Nino clenched around him “Are you close?”

Jun went to his lover and coiled around him like a coat kissing his cheek lightly glad that he wasn’t still powdery white, he almost chuckled as he saw the girl Mayo nestled up against his other side. She gave him a wide gapped toothed smile

“Morning human papa” She said and Nino grinned

“It seems even before I ask you to marry me we have a daughter” he said patting the girls head lightly before looking back at the humans “So… We’re agreed?”

“I still think the numbers are against us… The rest of the blood suckers from the other districts…”

“Won’t touch us, if I officially take over… It’s my territory I run it how I want, it’s the rules… If I want to make it a safe haven for you fragile things I will…”

“So why haven’t you before?”

“I wasn’t pissed off before, so show of hands, who’s in?” Nino snapped his eyes burning again. Jun watched as slowly every man, woman and Mayo’s case child put up their hands. Nino gently pushed her hand down again as he said “Then we do it”
