Jun watched in amazement as his lover ripped out a vampire’s throat, blood dribbled down his hand onto the grass. His human side was positive that the sight should be disgusting him but his vampire side completely disagreed telling him that the sight was a complete turn on. If his logical ‘Jun’ brain wasn’t stopping him he would been running over and trying to rape the smaller vampire right then and there in the middle of the battle. Covered in blood and growling loudly Jun turned to a female vampire that was running towards him her teeth barred and snarl escaping her lips. He didn’t have time to dodge and he found himself being pushed down into a ditch. The female landed on top of his chest an evil smirk on her face as she changed her face into human form. She was strong, almost as strong as Nino and in his position he found it impossible to dislodge her.

“You’re actually pretty cute… Shame that you’re just the Ninomiya brat’s zombie bitch… Maybe when that little fucker’s back with his daddy dearest I’ll make you my bitch instead…” She said stroking his face and grinding against his groin “All it would take is a few drops of my blood and you would forget all about him…”

Human Jun didn’t panic, even though vampire Jun was gnashing his teeth and twisting as much as he could between her thighs. Nino had told him that they were a bonded pair, he wasn’t sure what it had meant but it sounded impressive and Nino was delighted by it. Even when she slit her wrist and some of the blood dribbled into his mouth he wasn’t worried. The vampire in him reacted badly though, the blood tasted awful, like lemons and overly black coffee, his stomach twisted and turned.  With a loud howl he managed to dislodge her knocking her backwards into the mud and his hands were around her throat his nails digging deeply into her almost soft skin. Her eyes were wide with fear as she looked up at him, her tongue darted over her lips,

“You… You’re not… A zomb-ie… What are… you?” She gasped and Jun forced her head further into the mud.                                       

“J-un… Kazu’s…” He growled, almost surprised when the two words forced themselves out in almost the correct order he wanted them to. “Kazu… Jun’s…”

Jun’s nails sank deeper and deeper into the female vampires throat. When he felt his finger and thumb connect he pulled, her flesh and windpipe coming away cleanly. With a hiss he threw it onto the floor and stood up.

>Jun? Jun where the fuck are you?< he heard Nino shouting for him in his head and he was surprised at the panic that he could clearly feel. >Jun-pon… Baby… Answer me…<

>Here…< He replied looking down at the dead female vampire and wiping her blood on to his jeans, a sick feeling raising in his chest. The vampire Jun was delighted while human Jun was almost trembling with what he had just done >I’m here, Kazu<

>Jun… Thank god...< Nino said and soon Jun found his lover almost jumping on top of him, his arms going around as neck cold bloody lips being pressed against his. >My mum showed up… The vampires here thought she was supporting them but she wasn’t… She and her people turned on them instantly… Are you okay, baby? Did she do anything?<

>She tried to make me drink her blood< Jun thought his nose wrinkling as he remembered. Nino gave a short hiss spitting at the dead female before pulling up out of the ditch and leading him back into the field. Jun saw Mrs Ninomiya with Ohno her fingers lightly trailing over his face, while he smiled sleepily at her, his eyes literally shining with happiness. Looking up Aoi gave him a smile, nodding her head at him. Though they all turned with when there was a small shout of

“Papa-Kazu… Papa-Jun…” as Mayo came running out of the farm house and throwing herself at them, her tiny arms going around their legs. Jun was almost amazed that she wasn’t scared of him considering that the last time she had seen him he had nearly drained her. “The bad men have gone now?”

“Yes, princess… They’ve gone now” Nino said scooping her into his arms and pressing her against both of their chests. Jun tried not to growl as he caught a whiff of her scent. He clenched his fists tightly fighting the urge that was raging through him >Breathe baby, it’s okay, I’m here…< He felt Nino say and Jun found himself doing as he was told. Mayo still smelt good but earning Nino’s proud smile seemed more important. >See, you can do it, baby<

>I love you< Jun thought and Nino’s smile grew. Mayo was smiling too and the human in him let go of some of the guilt he had been feeling. That vampire would have destroyed everything, she would have handed Nino over and drained Mayo dry he did the right thing. “Ma-y-o” He said patting the little girls head and if humans could purr she would be purring loudly right now.

“Papa-Jun is looking better” She said dropping a kiss on his cheek, and Jun felt happy as if a warmth spreading through his body. He wondered if this was how Nino had felt when he had told him he wasn’t afraid of him. He felt Nino smiling at him and dropped a quick kiss on his lips.

>Papa-Jun, is doing so much better< Nino thought happily and Jun almost wanted to cry. He wrapped his arms around them both protectively finally both his human and vampire sides coming together for the first time since he had been changed. He wasn’t sure how long he stayed that way but he found Mayo’s arms around his neck and realised that she was getting cold he had some awareness that they should get her into the warm.

“So who is this?” He heard a woman ask and he pulled away just a little as he turned to face Aoi and Ohno as they came over to them.

“Mayo-chan, this is my mama, Ninomiya Aoi… Mama, this is Mayo-chan… Mine and Jun’s daughter” Nino said and Jun wanted to smile when the little girl went shy hiding her face against their shoulders.

“Then that makes me a grandma…” Aoi said happily, her grey eyes dancing a little “Nice to meet you, Mayo-chan”

“Ni-ce to meetyoutoo” Mayo mumbled her face still against Jun’s cold skin.

“We should go into the house” Nino said and to Jun’s amazement Aoi nodded, showing her submissiveness by bowing her head, the vampires she had brought with her were dealing with the bodies of the ones that had attacked. They made their way to the house and Jun felt the need to feed washing over him. His mind was swimming with it but he found it was becoming easier to resist his urges. As they sat in the small sitting room Mayo rested on their legs and Nino played with her hair humming until she fell to sleep. As soon as her eyes were closed Jun was offered his wrist >Its okay baby, you must want to get rid of the taste of that woman< and Jun knew he was right. He sank his teeth into the flesh almost sighing with how good it tasted.

“You really are bonded ne?” Aoi smiled from her position on Ohno’s lap, “I always hoped that maybe… Anyway, may I ask why Toshi and Masaki-kun haven’t been changed yet?”

“It was my choice” Ohno mumbled “With Matsumoto-san not fully changed yet and Nino needed to feed him I thought that it would be best if we waited… Masaki and Sakurai agreed…”

“After tonight though I cannot keep Ma-chan as he is, I will be changing him as soon as possible” Sakurai said holding Aiba’s hand tightly “I’m sorry Ninomiya-sama…” Jun thought for a moment that Sakurai was talking to Aoi but he realised quickly that he was talking to Nino and that at some point Nino had proven himself as a leader.

>By refusing to go with them to my father, I have officially declared that I am challenging his right to rule Tokyo district… From today we are at war…< Nino told him gently stroking his face with his free hand and Jun dropped the wrist licking the last drops of blood from his lips. >As soon as Masaki and Ohno are changed we will be heading back to Tokyo…<
