"When we grow up we will get married, ne

Matsumoto Jun opened his eyes slowly the dream still ringing in his ears, "Wow it's been a long time since I dreamt about that" He mumbled rubbing the sleep from his eyes as he looked down at the girly mag that had fell to the floor, picking it up he saw the reason for the dream smirking up at him. With a sigh he flipped the magazine shut and pushed it under the bed to join the raising collection. He groaned as his phone rang knowing it would be his manager giving him the run down of the days activaties.

"Hai, moshi moshi" He said with forced brightness

"Ah Matsumoto-san... Good morning..." Sure enough he managers voice floated into his ear, Matsu held back a sigh what was he expecting, there was no-way it would be him. Even if he hadn't changed his number in four years the only way he'd ring was to tell him to go to hell. 'Why did we make such a mess of things?' He asked himself not even half listening to his manager now, his heart ached painfully as he remembered it wasn't 'we' it was 'he', he'd made such a mess of things four years ago, there was no chance he'd ever forgive him. All the words he said, how many times had he wished them away? He wanted to wake up and find the last four years was a lie, that he would look across the street and see him writing messages on a sketch pad, or them ditching school to build forts in the woodland near their house or going to the arcade, challenging each other on mario. Closing his eyes he pictured his face as it had been then, the bratty smile on those lips, the glow of victory in his eyes. He couldn't understand how everyone thought he was better looking, everything about him was perfect, and so kissable. The face changed to the empty, half dead expression he'd seen as he'd spewed out the words he hadn't wanted to, his eyes filled with pain, and tears he'd never shed, instead he hissed out a few choice words of his own. Matsu was unable to suppress the low moan, having completely forgotten his manager, who reminded him of his presence by asking if he was okay.

"I'm fine, just a little tired" He answered

"I heard of your little run in with him last night... You two really are like chalk and cheese..."

"Hmm, I guess..." Matsu agreed with a soft sigh as if that would ease his stinging heart. That wasn't true they were more a like than he wanted to admit.

"Promise, we'll always be together.."

Ninomiya Kazuari, moaned loudly, reaching to switch off the shrilly ringing alarm, that was slicing into his already aching head. Pushing himself up on the settee, he looked around the single messy apartment trying to piece together the events of last night. He had been at that studio and seen him, he'd said some unforgivable things, he seriously couldn't hold his tongue when he was near that guy. With another groan he dragged himself to the bathroom, wondering he was trying to purposely push everyone away or if it was just him.

He showered and changed quickly, glad to wearing his own clothes instead of the expensive random stuff they made him wear. In his college uniform he looked like any other school kid, even his cute face wasn't that noticeable, he wasn't that well known yet. Not like he was. As he got onto the bus some of the kids seemed to faintly recognize him, but they were frowning not sure where they had seen him before, only the 6 year old seemed to get over excited shouting something about 'Dino ranger'. He gave the boy a quick smile and then looked out of the window again thinking about last night and the things he said, wondering, half heartedly, if there was anyway he, they, could work it out, knowing that was about as realistic as being able to fly. It was a sad thought given how close they were not so many years ago, now the rivalry was big news, though he was sure there was a rumour that they were secret lovers, Nino scoffed to himself there was no chance of that, at least not any more. He subconcously licked his lips thinking of the strawberry ice cream flavoured kiss they'd shared so many years ago. With a jolt he realised he'd almost missed his stop, 'damn it' he swore trying to push away thoughts of him. He wanted to move away, somewhere he wouldn't be, but that was impossible, he was tied to the agency, just the same as him, there was no way he'd get away, even if he moved to the furthest reaches of Japan they would see each other at some point.

He walked slowly to his seat at the back of the classroom, he only really attended lessons when there was a break in his schedule, there was no way he could truly keep up but in his chaotic life he wanted some sense of normality so he kept coming to the school. The class had fallen into silence as he entered, no-one knew how to treat him, he wasn't just 'Nino' anymore, he hated it. He sat doodling on the front of his math book wondering what he was doing, he hadn't seen his shedule today, normally he would 'accidentally' see his shedule, sometimes it helped to think he was doing the same thing at a similar time even if they weren't talking. At least then he could pretend he hadn't left him alone.

<They were born only two months apart, their mothers were both good friends having lived in houses that backed onto each other, so it was natural that they would be close. Most people would mistake them for twins, as they ran about hand in hand. When they were in kindergarten they announced proudly that one day they were going to get married, (But to be fair, they also said they were going to live in a castle made of chocolate and have a pet dragon) at the time both their families thought it was cute and harmless, they knew one day they'd grow out of it. Time passed and they did grow up, Nino became more into music and baseball while Matsu joined the drama and photography clubs, it still didn't separate them though. Even if they didn't spend time together in school, they were together outside; even their groups of different friends couldn't stop them. As they were getting ready to go to junior high their parents thought it wasn't cute anymore, and were worried that maybe they wouldn't grow out of it, after they been caught kissing, the blame game started and soon the steady friendship that had built between the families over the years was destroyed in what seemed like weeks. Nino and Matsu were left in the middle still trying to cling on to their friendship not really understanding what was going on.

"Nino-Chan... Are we really weird?"Matsu had asked softly as he drew shapes in the dirt with a stick

"Of course not, Jun-kun..." Nino had smiled reassuringly, not wanting to see the trouble lines on his friends face, but thoroughly convinced there was nothing as cute as Matsu when he was worried. Nino looked thoughtful for a moment, and then held up his pinky

"Promise, we'll always be together" He said, Matsu linked their fingers without hesitation

"I promise, Kazu... We'll always be together" He said causing a smile on Nino's face at the use of his first name, since the other boy rarely did it made it special and the promise more real. They couldn't keep it though; Matsu's father found another job taking them away from the street, no letters or phone calls passed between them, until they were in high school. In his first year Matsu was approached by a scout from the agency, he decided to go along to the audition and was surprised to see Nino there too. He hadn't changed in the few years that had separated them, with the exception of a paler face and shadowed eyes as he stared into the bright screen of the D.S.

"Nino?" He murmured lightly touching his arm, Nino looked up disbelief and bewilderment in his eyes.

"MatsuJun?" He said in surprise, unable to believe how much his friend had changed, the awkward boy had almost gone and he could see the man he was starting to become. His eyes roamed around his face as if taking in every detail. "What are you doing here?"

"Some guy named 'Ohno' gave me his card, said I should audition" He shrugged "You?"

"Same here, I checked it out and it seems legit... I can't believe you're really here... It's been ages..." Nino smiled his eyes flashing. Matsu gave a small smile fighting the urge to hug him, the only thought going through his mind was that he couldn't let his parents know he had spoken to Nino again. The arguments had stopped recently; as soon as he'd introduced him to the girl he was seeing. He didn't really love her but she was cute and polite enough to present to his parents. He had half convinced himself he could date her and almost be happy. Almost. There was no chance he would be happy without Nino, he realized that now he was seeing him again "It's really good to see you, Nino..."

"You too..."

Along with the admittance to the agency their love blossomed again, but this time it was no longer childish ice cream kisses but intense make-out sessions. He kept seeing the girl, trying to keep his parents happy but he loved Nino, he had loved him since they played together on that purple and yellow slide. But he should have known it was impossible for it to work, and it came crashing down only six months after they found each other again. It was a Thursday afternoon, they had both skipped school, knowing Matsu's house would be empty. They lay together on the single bed, dazed in an after sex glow. Matsu kissed him lightly a smile on his face "I love you, Kazu" he whispered, Nino grinned his eyes flashing as he wrapped his arms around his neck "Me too" He breathed back his breath brushing against his lips. Matsu felt his heart dance against his ribcage delighted that the fates had let them meet again. Every day he was thankful that Ohno-san had brought them both to the agency. Even if it was sometimes painful, he loved the times they could be together, like today. He brought his lips down to cover Nino's again, his hand moving slowly over his silky skin. A loud scream pierced the air and they pulled apart, as if in slow motion they turned to the door and saw the shocked expressions of both his mother and girlfriend staring at them. His mother's knuckles whitened with rage and the tin the girl was carrying fell to the floor, heart shaped cookies flying out. "You're sick! The pair of you...Filthy..."His mother raged as the girl fled sobbing, "Get dressed and get out of my house, you're never to see Jun again... You're just a whore like your mother..." She spat turning on her heel and storming out of the room. They stared at each other in silence for awhile not knowing what to say. Matsu spoke first trying to reassure him "I'll think of something, Kazu... I swear" Nino gave a twisted smile and kissed his cheek lightly as he grabbed his scattered clothes from the floor Matsu watched him leave, he should have stopped him then. He knew should have stopped him, and told his mother to go to hell then, but he didn’t.>

A/N Thats it for part 2, hope you enjoy ^.^
